Grettir Guesthouse

Die Lage war super in einer kleinen Nebenstraße direkt an der Shopping straße mit vielen Läden und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, auch der Second Hand Store nebenan ist sehr empfehlenswert. War super sauber mit täglichem Zimmerservice der Gemeinschaftsräume und auch für den Mietwagen haben wir immer in den umliegenden Straßen einen Parkplatz gefunden (da aber auf die Zonen achten, ab 21Uhr ist aber kostenlos)

Hotel correcto calidad-precio bien comunicado en el centro de Reikiavik recomendable para pasar una noche pero en su anuncio pone que tienen parking a 2,50 por estancia y cuando llegué me encontré que no existía tuve que aparcar en la calle pagando por hora y al estar tan céntrico se paga 4 con 50 la hora por lo demás la atención fue correcta

Our room was 102. King bed. Very clean. Shared bathroom, but not a problem.

The location is the big plus for this property, however, if you want quiet between 8pm - 11pm, this is not ideal without ear plugs due to live music at the local bars. The property details do not specifically say it's a shared bathroom/shower so that was a surprise. The property also provided the door code to the wrong door so I was glad I had a working phone and they answered promptly to provide the code to the correct door. Otherwise, the rooms were spotless and the bed was comfortable, even though they were very small. It would be nice to have a hand towel provided in each room versus the single hand towel in the shared bathroom.

While the property is located in a super convenient location, the description was inaccurate. The listing states that there is on site parking for 2.50 per stay. However, when we arrived, there was no onsite parking, and the owner told us only street parking was available, which was $5 per hour between 9am-9pm, and there’s a 3 hour time limit, so we had to check in and out and move our vehicle. If you have a rental car like we did, I would not recommend staying here, or at least know that the listing lied about the availability and price of parking. Additionally, we never received an email with check-in or check-out instructions l, so we had to call the owner to get the code for the building, and she seemed annoyed at our call and insisted we received an email (we didn’t). Generally, the guesthouse was clean and had everything else we needed, but there is no hot water.

Je suis arrivée à 3h du matin et j'ai pu néanmoins entrer grace à un simple code. La chambre est très petite mais propre et le lit très confortable. Salle de bain partagée, mais mes colocataires ont été très discrets et respectueux. Je conseille cette solution pour une etape d'une ou deux nuits.

Limited warm water in he room ... kode lock did not work...no info on where to call for help ...only one shower ..very old shower ..must have been bought on the flee market... if your are going to this city ... find an other place

Very cute and cozy house in the city centre of Reykjavik. The kitchen is very basic but it had all we needed. Room was spacious and clean. The house is very quiet but you can hear noise from the other rooms on the same floor. There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply.

Très propre, bâtiment un peu défraîchi mais tout à fait ok, à deux pas de la rue principale, pas d'ascenseur et il y a des escaliers à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur du bâtiment

Loved this cosy guesthouse! Was easy to find and secure. The property was immaculate and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I started with my daughter and it was perfect for us we will definitely stay there again!

The property was in an excellent location, just feet away from the main street, very warm and comfortable albeit the room was small, with a shared bathroom and shower.

Quaint stay, great location, close to everything. Only complaint is the bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but overall fine for one night

A touch bit hard to find, but quiet and right next to the hubbub of Reykjavik :)

Grettir Guesthouse was amazing! Especially loved the location. The guesthouse was clean and well kept. Would recommend to anyone staying in Reykjavik!

The place was very nice, very clean and well located ! Really nice to be able to have a self check-in and and to feel like at home. We really enjoyed our two nights there !

Great location

You should let people know there is one toilet and one shower for 10 people. That was not at all clear and not expected. Furthermore the bathroom floor was soaking wet all the time with no bathmat, no soap, no fan to keep it dry. Frankly the worst Airbnb experience I’ve ever had.
