Stracta Apartments

Malgré la route de gravel pour si rendre qui peut-être un peu intimidante lors d'une arrivée tardive, le lieu est exceptionnel. L'appartement est très sympa et nous avons eu les commoditiés demandé pour notre bébé. Le lieu n'est pas spécifiquenent adapté pour les enfants, ça va tout de même.

Praktisk og funktionel lejlighed med 2 fine soveværelser. Varmen virkede dog kun delvist. Der var meget lydt.

Place feels and smells brand new. Everything was lovely, spacious, and beautiful views in the morning

Free ample parking, easy access to room, kitchenette to cook/ heat up meals, no staff on property but runs efficiently- they respond to requests in a timely manner. A bit expensive considering the 7 km unpaved road though it is an easy drive- no issues there

Hébergement propre et bien équipée, service rapide en cas de soucis. Route pour s'y rendre endommagé.

We could not get in our room because the lock box was broken and i have been lucky enough to find somebody to help me after 1 hrs and half of stress because its a very remote location

Close to the glacier and in the middle of nowhere. Just great to relax. Very clean and comfy apartment incl. kitchen.

The rooms/apartments are fairly newly built, clean, spacious, well furnished with kitchenette and good size bathroom. You park your car right outside of your room like a motel setup. There is no lobby or staff, you get your room key via the lock box on each door. The hotel is in a very desolate area, takes over 30min to get to when you drive off route 1 and onto an unpaved dirt/gravel road, very bumpy. No lights no nothing just open land. Very hard to get to if you are driving in the dark. Nothing is nearby (40min away) so you better get groceries and food before you head to the hotel.

Overall great property and awesome experience but bathrooms showers in few rooms don’t drain properly and ended up flooding the bathroom.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, quiet, modern, well equipped. The nicest place we stayed in Iceland. Tip: Yes, there is quite a long, unpaved road leading from the main coast road to Stracta. The road is fine, just keep going.

Perfect place to meditate

You're really in the "middle of nowhere" and that's a fantastic feeling. The road towards the hotel is a gravel road (>4km). Make sure to bring your own food because there is nothing to find around. This really is a fantastic location

The place itself is remote but so gorgeous! They provide you with coffee and milk which was great.

Great place to stay. Comfy, great black out shades for the midnight sun, spacious, compact kitchen to cook. Only negative is it is a good 10-15 minutes off the ring road driving on a bumpy dirt road.

L’hébergement était impeccable et bien adapté pour une famille. Toutefois, il est important de noter qu’il se situe au minimum à 40 minutes de Kirkjubaejarklaustur. Aucune restauration à proximité, prévoir des provisions.

The only issue was we had never used an induction stove before and we didn’t know how to unlock the stove so we could use it. We eventually figured it out with a good YouTube video.

Easy check-in, the apartment offers everything you need. The walls are a little thin and you can hear the people next door talking. Make sure to bring earplugs with you, if it bothers you. Only downside is the way to the accommodation on the gravel road.

7 Kilometer Schotterweg bis zur Unterkunft im Nirgendwo. Diese Info wäre von Vorteil gewesen, aber es war auch schön so im „Nirgendwo“ zu wohnen.

Why does this apartment complex exist in the middle of literally nowhere? We don't know, but it was very nice! As we drove toward it, we were questioning whether it actually existed because it's far down a smooth dirt road surrounded by literally nothing. The room was very nice, clean, shower was great, kitchenette had plates, cups, utensils for 4, a nice couch and TV. We loved our stay.

Its a bit challenging to found the hotel in the middle of nowhere but lava field. It was a good experience though! The room is very very new and clean. We have a very good stay. And feel grateful about the location that give us a reason to discovered the surrounding geographic.
