Fort Beach Service Apartment

Despite me having 5 e-mails to the establishment that i was arriving late (2 am) there was no attempt to organise entry. I had to sleep on the floor outside the apartment that morning. The apartment was comfortable and value for money but it was showing its sge. There was no internet and tv was inoperable. I had the apartment to myself but it could have got pretty crowded if all the rooms were occupied.

Some initial problems with missing room key Moved to another room unable to sleep due to faulty air conditioning noisy motor.Things settled down when we got our room key 2 days later. Still enjoyed our stay.

The third floor apartment has three bedrooms and a well kitted out kitchen. There's also dining and sitting areas. We were fortunate because we had the whole flat to ourselves which was great. Had others been there we would have found it difficult. You would be sharing a flat with total strangers and very little privacy. Our toilet did not flush and wasn't repaired while we were there. We used the other toilets which did. They removed Rs 500 from the bill but there was no hot water, brown water came out of the shower and the toilet smelt. All the staff in the hostel down stairs, who are there if there are problems, are charming and very helpful as was Mary who did our cleaning. No card payment only cash. This might work for some people but not for us.

We arrived late and had to look for a person who could tell us where we had to go. We finally went to the hostel and they checked us in. Then this person asked us what room we would like. So we chose a room - thinking that we were renting the appartenemt and got 2 options. We they tools us, we were not renting an whole apartment, we didn’t like it, but respected it. A few days after check in, we paid the amount that hotel.con gave us. And they agreed. The last day somebody from the hostel ( they did everything concerning the apartment). He asked for more money claiming we had taken the more expensive room. He said we actually should pay 6000 rupees extra but we got the good price of 250 rupees. When my friend came in he said that he should actually pay 1500 more but he was giving him a good price (250 rupees). When we told him we didn’t know the room was more expensive. And that they should have said something. He said he was not there for our service. We should have known. He said that the guy from the first night asked us which room we booked. Wat he did not ask us!!!!! We were not very happpy about it. Hey said that we took an upgrade without informing the hotel, but they knew from the start which room we were in. My friend then paid 250 and then he wanted 250 per night extra. We felt cheated. If somebody explains it, then we would be informed and have respected what was said.They were rude the last day and started cleaning the room before we had checked out. Not fun

Very helpful host who made our stay comfortable. Good kitchen with tea, coffee, sugar, drinking water and milk provided - was lovely to be able to make a cup of tea in the morning! Access to fridge. Entire building kept clean. Owner automatically topped up anything that ran low. Very very helpful owner who gave us information about the Cochin Biennial as soon as we arrived and went out of his way to get us a map of Fort Cochin. The wifi stopped working at one point (fault of the network, not of the owner) and the owner sorted it promptly. I traveled with my mother who had knee pain and the host, who also owns a shop and art gallery, brought us an Aryuvedic knee oil free of charge (which did help!). Quiet apartment despite prime location. One of the best places we stayed at during our travels - would highly recommend.

This was a lovely clean place to stay where they went above and beyond what was expected. The room was clean, relaxing and had everything you needed and it was great to have the shared kitchen and living room to use as needed. Even though there was troubles with the A/C staying on, they were happy for me to switch to a room where the A/C was working well. The great thing was they were nice enough to offer me rides to well recommended restaurants and to even get bread for toast in the morning. Nothing was a trouble and when I was not leaving until 6pm but had to check out in the morning, they allowed me to come back in the afternoon, get changed and wait until my taxi arrived. Well worth the stay while in Kochi if you are looking for great location, a clean place and great hosts!

Super place, highly reccomend it. Perfect location. Huge apartment!! Helpful friendly welcoming staff. All round hit!!

Fort Cochin est très sympa pour se "reposer" de l'Inde, seul bémol :les commerçants un peu trop commerçants? On rencontre des touristes de tous pays.

We were in a different apartment from the pictures, it was nice but not as nice as the pictures. Due to the fact that no email was provided it was difficult to reach anyone for any assistance like the Internet shutting off at 11pm and the air conditioning not turning on since we did not have an Indian phone. However, the people we did interact with were nice and having a kitchen to make breakfast for a change was nice during traveling about.

It is located right in front of the Chinese fishing nets. Good location, comfortable, and most of all a homely stay. The place was clean and was good value for money (especially when Kochi is a place with high prices). The only drawback was that it did not have a clear sign. We were confused upon arrival. Just look for Rampart homestay and Vedanta. That is the place.

Cheap and ok for our quick stay over in Cochin

I spent over a week at this shared apartment, although many nights I had it to myself. There is a hostel next door & a hotel/restaurant on the other side but it is not noisy once inside. I had the more casual of the two apartments, but I enjoyed it. Large rooms, a/c in the bedrooms. Ceiling fans in the living areas. Very gracious hosts.

The guys at Fort Beach looked after us like we were family, lots of great advice and even cooked us breakfast! Rooms were clean and well maintained, the apartment itself is great for a place to plan and relax. Close to everything, although hard to find! A sign on the street and at the building entrance would help.

Lovely apartment, great location, nice room, great wifi, equipped kitchen, help with tours and trips. Was a real home from home.

Apartment was difficult to find as there were no signposts. The lift was out of order so we had to stay elsewhere for 11 out of 13 days.

surprisingly cool location, very central to the important places, peaceful, good atmosphere, bright light, clean and very polite and friendly service

どこへ行くのも便利な立地 観光客がたくさんいる所なので 夜出歩いても危なくない 部屋は広くて綺麗 エアコンあり シャワーは十分に熱いお湯がでる！ Wi-Fi無料でさくさく動くし キッチンには 勝手に使っていい ボトルの水、コーヒーや紅茶があります。 3部屋あり ツイン、ダブル両方あります 台所と居間(テレビみるとこ)は 共同ですが… まぁだいたい皆 部屋にいるのでうるさくはないです！ マイナスポイント 週末は 隣にあるレストランが少しうるさい あと 朝必ず犬が吠える…数十分… 見つけにくい 一人だと広すぎて淋しい… くらいかな〜 とってもお勧めです！

フォートコーチンを見て回るに いい立地です！ ただ看板と名前が違うのでわかりにくい アパートをシェアして使う 私の他に2組の方が止まってました！ (へやは３つみたい) 壁が分厚いのか 他の人の話し声とか 気にならなかったです ただ 毎朝外の犬が吠え続ける…(-_-) しばらく吠えたらしずかになります 台所が自由に使えて 水やインスタントコーヒーなんかは 飲み放題 Wi-Fiもサクサク動くし お風呂のお湯もちゃんと出ます かなりパーフェクト！ おすすめです
