Hotel Amigo

The staff were above and beyond helpful with meals, dry cleaning, and recommendations. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious each day. The room was large, modern, clean, and facing away from the noise of the streets. The view was lovely and private. I think we had a much better stay than our travel companions who stayed at another hotel 4 minutes away. I would recommend Hotel Amigo to anyone travelling to Mumbai. Also: loveliest security officer who was always up for a chat upon our daily departure and return. Shout out to him!

The property is very conveniently located. It good value for money.

The hotel was overall ok. We spend about 10+ nights here. Staff were very helpful. We weren't always provided the exact room we booked. Booked one king size bed but got two single separate beds most times. I was extremely disappointed with one front desk staff named Aarti. She seemed always upset, never smiles, not polite nor courteous, made me pre paid for future nights stay when I haven't booked this arrangement, told me that room wasn't available for one night in question that I have a confirmation for. I was very disappointed.

very convenient location

Hotel Amigo is in heart of Dadar, and also not very far from Mumbai airport. Very convenient to stay. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. It is not far from sea beach on one side and Dadar West station is also not very far. One can take a nice stroll to iconic Shivaji Park or to the sea beach of visit bustling Dadar market.

Management blamed me for a cheap bathroom wash basin that cracked by itself when I was shaving with running hot water.

Very convenient location. Very helpful staff. Check in process was OK. Check out was easy and quick. Breakfast was OK. Timely service response by staff.

Easy to find by Google maps. Room is clean. TV is small.

I stayed on the 4th floor main road view room for 3 nights and it was a pleasant experience. Main points are Room is clean and tidy. Wash rooms are good and clean. Plus point is Hotel is located in good decent area, no connectivity issues to other locations, well known bar the ground floor, couple of small decent restaurants. No construction happening around. If you have your own car, you need to park it on the road side, which is not a problem. Rooms have self tea making facilities, for people who prefer early morning bed tea!

I had made a booking through hotels.com to stay one night here. I received a confirmation email stating the room was "guaranteed and paid for" with evidence that the money had left my account. We arrived at 0100 after a very long day, to be met with a receptionist who stated "no rooms available" and waved me away. After I produced my email confirmation, he continued to try to shoo me out of the door and which point I had to raise my voice and eventually he agreed to wake up his boss. Despite being in the tourism industry, his boss has absolutely no interest in helping us, and insisted that the fault was ours for not 'confirming' the booking - despite having received an email which stated booking was confirmed. He then proceeded to blame hotels.com and that I should take this up with them. The receptionist then decided he would 'he\ us by organising another hotel that was "exactly the same standard" as Amigo. I was told I would be paying for this room, despite having already paid money to hotels.com. I spoke to hotels./com then and there, who informed me that the hotel most definitely HAD been informed of the booking, but as there were no rooms available, they would send me a refund. I was then told by the receptionist that I had to pay the taxi fare to the new hotel. Despite it being their fault!! I ended up calling the police, who after realising I could speak hindi and wouldn't be taken a fool of, advised the receptionist to pay the taxi fare to get me out of his hair.

Location was good with good view. Helpful staff.

Not a pleasant stay i can stay. Foods served required much improvement. Air-conditioners not proper. Service i can say OK Billing seems to be high... Expedia ask one amount but the hotel charged for another persons stay!!

Hotellet var rent og værelset af ok størrelse. Ikke så meget varmt vand - er man mere end 1, skal man være hurtig. Vi havde et værelse ud mod vejen, og larmen derfra kan høres på værelset. Så er man ikke vant til trafikstøj, kan det være en udfordring at sove. Morgenmad er inkluderet og der er er okay udvalg. Central beliggenhed i Dadar.

While the hotel itself and rooms are clean there was no free WIFI and even when you pay they only allow you to connect to one device

Location factor ! Intention to meet family friends in area was main reason to select this hotel! Staff should get trained to be courteous towards customers!

Good inexpensive working class no frills hotel. Clean, friendly. I would use again.

Ett enkelt hotell med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukosten som ingick var ok, men ingen höjdare. Wi-fi, som man fick betala extra för, var ganska slött och jag hade inte täckning i hela rummet. Men om du inte ska annat än kolla mail osv så duger det fint.

This was my second stay there. Read my prior review for in-depth review. Only thing to add new: try to get a room that does not face the road ( a back yard facing room). The rooms facing the road are very noisy, due to the fact that all drivers in Mumbai cannot seem to resist honking their car horn every five seconds. Thousands of cars will pass by your window. The honking horns can be heard in the street facing room, but not in the back.

Clean, neat, everything you need. Could do with having complimentary water and free wifi.
