Decent stay. Breakfast is not great but will do. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area so dont go out in your slippers, especially if its been raining. (when it rains, water collects in the outside area) Walls are on the thin side, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs. Overall, its good enough given the price.

great Service by vishal and Firdaos Not so far from Eden Gardens. very friendly service. security gaurd Franklyn helpful. Food was great and very tasty. If you coming to the hotel from the airport, use a Uber or a olataxi.

Overall environment, stuff, food are good. Also it is easy to get transport from the door of hotel. You may taste best sweets & street foods of Kolkata in front of the hotel. Hospital , Cinema hall and pharmacy within a walking distance. You can also shop around at nearby place Gariahat for fantastic collections dresses.

Bedroom area was decent but the Bathrooms were really untidy. There was only 1 small light source in the bathroom and could hardly get any light in the shower area. The toilet flush would suddenly start anytime of the day and go on for 15mins. I asked the hotel staff to look into it bt they were least bothered and had a reply saying "This keeps happening!".

Felt ripped off by the price . Front desk staff is good. Rooms are dirty and so are the bathrooms. A/c makes too much noise. Every thing is old and outdated and dirty. Would never go back. Stay in a lodge for less than half the price and that way you know you have no facilities.

I stayed this hotel 3 years back and everything was perfect, the hotel is not maintained at all,It lags basic amenities,During breakfast the staff doesnt even know how to prepare a good tea, Wifi is not free, they charged me but I am yet to receive bill for the same, apart from location this hotel is not worth of money we spend...

The only positive about the hotel is the staff. They were helpful and with a positive attitude. Unfortunately, the rest was the opposite experience. First of all the hotel is a ruin...windows are dirty, the space behind the kind-of-mirror in the bathroom was filthy with someone's hair, the trash bin wasn't empty on my arrival, after flushing the water in the toilet it was constantl running for about 10 min (every time) and although I have informed the front desk immidiately no one ever came to have a look at it. Considering the amount I've paid I was expecting a decent mid-range hotel. I was very disappointed with the choice and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Location of the hotel is good. Nearby markets and cafés. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Room is not big, but very neat and tidy, a.c. Works very well and it is very important for super hot Calcutta. Hotel breakfast is complimentary but it tastes awful. Overall is good and valued for money. Good choice for stays

This is my second visit to the Metropole. We first chose it because it was close to friends we were visiting but returned because it offered excellent value for money and above average accommodation. Rooms are nicely furnished and have fridges, kettles and in room safes. Bathrooms are spacious enough and have a good supply of hot water at a decent pressure. The restaurant offers a good range of food and we enjoyed all the meals we ate there.
