This is a beautiful colonial property set in extensive delightful gardens at the edge of Pachmarhi yet convenient to many outdoor activities and places of interest. The restaurant is particularly noteworthy, with its extraordinary staff and incredibly fresh and tasty food offerings - like someone in your family is this incredibly good cook and prepared every single meal with love and dedication for you! Food that not only tastes great but feels sooo good! Special thanks to Muskan, Jagdish, Naveen, Ravi and warm and entertaining Amar! Also, this place offers exceptional value, as it is very reasonable. The outdoor activities offered, provided by Ram and his expert team, Lakshman and others, were equally thrilling and totally worth it, leaving us with memories for a lifetime!

Although the hotel was good there were a few problems. It took too much time to get hot water in the bathroom. Too much water had to be wasted before you start getting hot water. This was not eco friendly at all. Service was excellent but waiters were always expecting more tips. Almost haggled. They put us in the corner building which had no open view at all. All we could see was other buildings. Also didnt really feel like we were staying in a luxury property. Another highlight was the food which was excellent. Being a vegetarian property it never felt like we were missing anything.

The property is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the food is good but you get no hot water in the washroom. I observed in the comments register that other guests had similar problems. We had to check out without having a bath. The reception could not generate a bill and wanted me to pay cash. When I refused, they accepted payment through credit card. I observed that the kitchen was giving the reception a hand written bill for food. The Welcome brand franchise model appears to be not working here in this hotel.

When we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite. Given it was right before the onset of the peak season, it was perfect win-win. They had the rooms, but the people had to apply discretion and delight a customer. They did a great job! The weather was perfect - not too warm and not too cold. The setting was perfect - given this was built during the English era, it has a certain old world charm to the place. Nicely renovated, but retaining the historical architecture. The lawns were expansive and well maintained. Plenty of trees with benches strewn around the lawns, which created plenty of choices of enjoying the serenity of this property. The food was as good as home made. Fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable. People were keen to serve us and address our needs promptly. Great experience! Plus there are plenty of interesting locations to visit - from waterfalls, to caves to jungles. All in all, a great weekend getaway, not only for people in Bhopal, but also people in Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, etc.
