TOYABALI - Resort

I loved having our own private villa with a king poster bed! Fabulous air conditioning to cool off from the humidity. The outdoor jacuzzi for two was a spectacular addition to the outdoor shower and toilet with bidet. Breakfast is included and always starts with a phenomenal fruit tray. Then your choice of eggs, or pancakes or other options. We chose to eat here also for dinner and lunch as the staff are amazing and so attentive to all your needs. The portions are big! You have an infinity pool to enjoy and the snorkeling right in front of the resort goes right to the liberty shipwreck and coral garden. It’s a quiet spot to relax and take in the beautiful sunrises. Only 6 villas so it’s never busy and they clean villa every morning and place fresh water bottles to enjoy.

Great Seaview from pool and dining area. Great open shower area with spa is a treat. Down side is a long path to walk down to resort because cars can’t get down. And it’s far away from the rest of town so add another 20 -25 mins walk in the dark to the rest of town.

Fantastique ! C'est la 3me fois qu'on y vas et on n'est pas déçu ! Le cadre avec vu sur la mer , les bungalows super confort , le service avec un personnel très souriants , les repas bons et équilibrés... tout est merveilleux.

Très bonne expérience, correspondant à mes attentes et correspondant aux photos et descriptions du site. Personnel charmant et toujours disponible. Cuisine générale de qualité et petit-déjeuner très correct. Emplacement paisible et calme.

We had such a relaxing couple of days here. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The view every day from the dining area and the pool was spectacular .

If you are looking for serenity, then this is the place for you. There are a few local and one larger convenient stores nearby. Great diving sites. Rocky Beaches. The staff is great. Not a lot of selections for meals and they could work on the presentation of dishes, but they are mostly tasty. If you are a hot tub lover, then here's the one down side in staying here: The water tank does not hold enough water for you to fill the overly large in-room spa tub and take a hot shower. I was looking forward to soaking in a hot bath after dives, but I ended up sitting in cold water. That was a deal-breaker for me. Perhaps it is not for you. =) Have a great vaca!

Hard to reach (no road leading up to the property) - bit rough around the edges

Kleines, familiäres Resort bestehend aus 6 großzügigen einzelnstehenden Bungalows. Mitarbeiter samt Service waren einfach super, wir haben uns 14 Tage sehr wohl gefühlt. Massagen können einfach über das Resort gebucht werden und finden auf den beiden Massageliegen unterhalb des Pools direkt am Meer statt. Restaurant mit überschaubarer Karte fanden wir qualitativ und geschmacklich sehr gut. Schnorcheln/Baden im Meer bei Wellengang nicht ganz einfach, da kein Sandstrand sondern nur Steine/Felsen. Der Ort besteht nur aus Tauchbasen (Wrack der Liberty direkt vor Ort), wenige Restaurants/Warungs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichbar. Mehr gibt es hier auch nicht zu tun....

Une villa superbe, calme dans un cadre reposant. Un vrai bonheur. Le personnel est à l’écoute et le service irréprochable Seul bémol : un peu loin de tout. Il est préférable d’avoir un scooter pour aller sur amed.

Lovely quiet hotel. Room was beautiful, and the food is wonderful. Very fresh and handmade daily. The spring rolls were a special treat! Snorkeling right outside the hotel is also very nice. You can fairly easily snorkel over to the Liberty wreck if you wish. 2 things to know: if you have any kind of mobility issues, this is not a good hotel for you as the drop off is a bit of a walk over uneven ground to get to the actual resort, and if you have large or heavy luggage it can be a bit tricky to get it to the resort although they are happy to help you with it. We had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay here again if we go back to Tulamben.

We loved Toyabali. It was so tranquil and relaxing. If you are a party person it's not for you but if you're looking for peace and relaxation it certainly is. The host Ibu Made organised a day tour for us and came along as our guide, she also taxied us to Jemeluk( Amed) for excellent snorkeling. The US Liberty shipwreck is literally just off the beach and is a diving/snorkeling destination. We snorkeled it 3 times but the weather was a bit windy while we were there making access to the sea a bit difficult. The beach is black volcanic pebbles too. I'd recommend diving boots and strap on fins to make access/egress easier. Breakfast is provided, fresh fruit plate, various egg choices or noodles, fresh fruit juices/lassi, coffee, tea. We also ate there most evenings and enjoyed the food. The rooms are beautiful bungalows with lots of space and gardens between them making it feel very private. Two of them have partial sea views. They have an enormous outside bathroom, ours had a huge granite spa bath too. If there's a downside it's that there isn't much around in Tulumben, a few bars, hotel restaurants. Most of the hotels specialise in diving. Tulumben is also a longish drive from anywhere ( 3 winding hours from the airport). Please be aware that (post covid lockdown)local businesses don't take international credit cards and ATM are few and again don't always take international cards. We got in late and had no cash but Ibu Made subbed us until we could find an ATM, so kind.

Ein tolles Resort zur totalen Entspannung, sehr gepflegt und wunderschön gestaltet. Tolle und saubere Villa. Bequeme Liegen am Pool und ausreichend Schatten. Sehr leckeres immer frisch zubereitetes Essen und Fruchtsäfte. Sehr engagiertes Team, immer freundlich und flexibel. Guter Platz zum Schnorcheln, nah zum Schiffswrack.

We has the most amazing weekend staying at Toyabali. As the first guests to stay after the lockdown the place and gardens were immaculate. Stunning view from our Villa, and pool, and very close to the wreck for diving. Excellent snorkeling too not far from the shore. Great food even though they were only cooking for us. What a treat!

Pour notre troisième séjour à BALI, nous avons séjourné 12 nuits dans cet hôtel, il ne manque rien, une grande douche extérieure, un SPA privé sont très appréciable. Quant au personnel, Madé et toute son équipe sont aux petits soins pour vous rendre le séjour aussi agréable que possible. Et puis, l'épave du Liberty et à moins de 100 mètres de l'hôtel. Un sans faute pour cet hôtel avec un grand +++ pour le personnel toujours souriant.

Our stay with ToyaBali was absolutely amazing!! The photos they show paint the picture which is even more incredible in person. But what really makes the stay special is the employees. They really put a lot of love into everything they do and it shows. The food is excellent and made from scratch even the sauces. The service is impeccable and done with a smile. The lush garden and grounds are perfectly maintained. Any services you may need i.e. Motorbike rental, scubadiving, transport to your next destination all taken care of by the staff with no worries whatsoever. Thank You ToyaBali for everything!!!!

Petit bungalow près de la mer, au calme. On entend le bruit des vagues en s’endormant. La piscine est bord de mer, et à l’avantage contrairement au resort au alentour de ne pas être empruntée par des plongeurs pour leurs exercices. Le jacuzzi est très sympa mais plutôt froid, impossible de rentrer dedans le soir. Vous pouvez vous restaurer à l’hotel Ce qui est plutôt bien, car hormis plonger et vous rendre à deux temples à 30 minutes de route il n’y a rien à faire. Peu de restaurant, aucune animation le soir.

Very beautiful garden and room. We are really enjoy it!

Arrival entrance very poor in fact it was waste ground. Room was perfect but pool area very small and it felt more like a home stay than a hotel . Food was delicious and owners we very kind and helpful givin that personal touch , if you want to be secluded and have nothing to do but relax then this is the place to be. I do feel that this place was far to over priced

Toyabali er et helt utroligt smukt sted og det perfekte ophold for et par dages total afslapning. Og hvis du vil dykke og/eller snorkle endnu bedre! Smagfulde og harmoniske bungalows med udendørs bad! Den dejligste hjemmelavede mad til alle måltider! Fantastisk personlig service fra alle på Toyabali! Vi anbefaler alle som vælger at besøge Tulamben at bo på Toyabali. Og glæder os til at vende tilbage!
