NYX Hotel Dublin Portobello

Great hotel!

This is a nice area to stay in Dublin, but the rooms are very small & we had 3 rooms and only our AC worked so the others were miserable in July heat!

Beautiful hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean, loved the nespresso machine. Little welcome bag on arrival with some sweets. Overall very modern hotel. Enjoyed the slippers and bathrobes available for customers. Bathrooms at reception nice and clean.

Nice area, super modern, good breakfast. Not a lot of parking options near hotel so it gets expensive and kind of a hassle.

Hotel was great and you can walk to most places. If you have a car it’s awful as there is nowhere to park close

Lovely hotel n a great location

15min walk to Grafton Street, super close to lots of pubs/restaurants. Staff very friendly. Hotel very modern with great amenities, comfy bed and nice views. Would stay again.

The room was tiny and the bed was not as listed on the site (it was listed as King but failed to specify this is a UK King which is an equivalent to a US Queen. Being posted on a US based travel site they should at least specify the type of bed or its US equivalent). This hotel was listed as a 4 star accommodation but I've had better stays with better amenities at 2 and 3 star locations.

Great hotel! In a nice part of town, though a little far to walk to attractions. Comfortable, nicely decorated rooms. Good breakfast buffet and restaurant. Friendly staff.

Got checked in early, which was great after a 5am wake up for travel. Very friendly staff

There was a competition in the hotel, a spin the wheel for Pieta House, we won breakfast for the room and when we went down for it the following morning they said it was for 1 person and not for the room. We clarified when we won that it covered the room and not one person. We had 2 rooms booked and the other room also played and won and same issue. They argued with us in front of other staff, they tried to look into the Pieta bucket to check how much was donated and then when we told them to leave it and give us a complaint form they eventually said we could all have breakfast. We obviously didn’t bother as we were mortified at that point . Also did not agree that the hotel staff be able to check a donation bucket for a charity .. it was on the reception counter and you had to put the money in before you could spin the wheel so we were made to feel like they didn’t believe us . Awful, awful experience

We payed for a king bed and larger room. Small room ,queen bed. Very expensive!

No water for 10 hours and no hot water from 7:00pm till check out the next day at 10:00pm. No remedy or compensation offered other than front desk saying ‘Sorry, we are working on it’ Totally unacceptable for a ‘4 stars’ hotel.

We’re a family of 4. We all loved this hotel! It is so beautiful, modern, and fun! We loved the morning breakfast which had a ton of options. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spotless, and it had a great location. We would absolutely stay here again!
