A lovely hotel in a beautifully renovated building. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice & delicious. The rooftop terraces/bar/pool area were very smart. Unfortunately the water in the pool was too cold for me! The Elba restaurant (where breakfast is served) was ideal for evening meals too & we visited the gelateria next door a number of times too. There is a small sandy beach just a short walk from the hotel with another couple of nice restaurants in close proximity. The only slight negative point was that the Coastal road runs quite close to the hotel which made it a little noisy at times especially when motorbikes go past. It did mean though that there were plenty of buses going past the door which made exploring the island very easy!

My stay was everything I’d hoped for and more. My first time in Malta, I wanted a chilled vibe away from the nightlife but for there to still be the option to experience everything the island has to offer. The staff, Muhammad in particular, can’t do enough for you. The room was incredible with private terrace, and kept immaculate daily. The rooftop bar was perfect, with swim up bar, sea view and an amazing selection of professionally made to order cocktails. Cisk is my new favourite beer now too! I toured the island, spent time at The Blue Lagoon, ventured over to Gozo and all with the help of the tips and tricks from the staff. Elba bar served freshly made food, there was a great variety and their pizzas are the best I’ve eaten. I used Bolt to travel on some days for ease and no where is much further than a 20 minute ride away, all very chatty and friendly, sharing their knowledge of Malta. I will definitely be returning. I stayed the first week of June, the temperature was perfect, it wasn’t too busy, always guaranteed a sun lounger and the beach which is a stones throw away was the perfect place to hang out in the day, and watch the sunset at night. I highly recommend XVI Suites.

The hotel is amazing. The beds are super confortable, the room has a great desing. The pool view is great and the bar/restaurant in the rooftop is pretty good. The breakfast is really good The have free parking and the location of the hotel is great.

Property was beautifully renovated! The restaurant and cafe were also excellent. Very convenient after a long day of site seeing. Also great to be outside of busy Valletta. The pool on roof was great offering beautiful views and the staff were extremely helpful. The area was a little chaotic with the beach and kiosks but overall a great experience!

Wauw! Zoals'de foto's op internet zijn zo is het ook in het echt. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, de kamers zijn schoon en het ontbijt in het restaurant beneden is onbeschrijflijk! Verse foccacia, zalm, perfect gepocheerde eieren.... alles klopt. Ook de ijssalon heeft lekker ijs. Het hotel ligt aan de weg. Super makkelijk omdat de bus op 2 min lopen stopt. Het strand is op 1 minuut lopen, maar daarvoor was het weer nog te koud in maart. Wij hebben ons 4 dagen koninklijk gevoeld!

After 3 nights at this really calm and nice hotel. The breakfast was the best of all. If we could give it 6stars we would. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We really recommend the flatbread rosemary and the granola bowl. So many thanks for the hospitality. Only a small “but” because we where the only one staying we go have got the room against ocean not the work site.

Hôtel neuf , très beau roof top, personnel agréable et station de bus tout près ( nécessaire car on ne peut rien faire à pied). Dommage que l’hôtel soit collé à une 4 voies et dans un environnement guère agréable (difficile d’en faire abstraction, au niveau visuel et auditif…). Chambre assez grande ( ce n’était pas la basique) et propre mais impossible d’ouvrir les volets car rien pour les garder ouverts, du coup chambre dans l’obscurité toute la journée… Bon petit déjeuner servi dehors

Really nice staff! The manager was always around and we really felt his warmth. Very responsive and considerate. The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing! Overall great place and I like the amount of thought process put into the details. However, for what I paid,I’d definitely expect more from the facilities. Hopefully final touches are addressed otherwise future guests may not be so forgiving. I think the management should address fine details: In the shower area there is no place to put the shampoo, there was no bin or tissue box in the room, safe was not attached to the wall, barking dogs at the back yard of the building is not acceptable, overgrown vegetation at the back of the building, air conditional was temperamental, outside there is no prominent sign identifying the hotel, empty reception on ground floor and hotel reception on first floor makes no sense. Non-functional swimming pool is a big red flag, technically this is a sufficient grounds to claim for compensation, but I didn’t just because the staff was so nice.

Mohammed and his team was simply amazing 10/10, we stayed there for 4-5 days and their staff have surely made our stay wonderful. Their breakfast is 10/10, everything was freshly cooked on order served with freshly squeezed orange juice every day. We were welcomed at hotel with a bottle of champagne as a birthday gesture which they’ve later swapped it with food from their restaurant as we don’t drink alcohol. Our rooms were nice and clean and it was a decent size room. It isn’t far from the airport, uber taxi is around €13-14. There’s plenty of free car parking space around the hotel. As their hotel is brand new, they are still at the early stages of setting it all up. The toiletries were very basic. The swimming pool was not heated which was very disappointing.

Very nice boutique hotel. My room was brand new with all comforts (including a Nespresso coffee machine) and high end furniture, linen and towels. I was there for work so I didn't have the time to enjoy the pool on the rooftop which has a fantastic view on the sea and it's a perfect space for an aperitivo for example and relax. The staff was always available, very kind and professional. They supported me for every request (a special thank you to Mr Muhammad). The hotel is close to the main street that surrounds the island and there's a big parking so also with your own car it is easy to get out and visit Malta. Being so close to the main street during the day it is a bit noisy.

Hôtel neuf , très beau roof top, personnel agréable et station de bus tout près ( nécessaire car on ne peut rien faire à pied). Dommage que l’hôtel soit collé à une 4 voies et dans un environnement guère agréable (difficile d’en faire abstraction, au niveau visuel et auditif…). Chambre assez grande ( ce n’était pas la basique) et propre mais impossible d’ouvrir les volets car rien pour les garder ouverts, du coup chambre dans l’obscurité toute la journée… Bon petit déjeuner servi dehors

Really nice staff! The manager was always around and we really felt his warmth. Very responsive and considerate. The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing! Overall great place and I like the amount of thought process put into the details. However, for what I paid,I’d definitely expect more from the facilities. Hopefully final touches are addressed otherwise future guests may not be so forgiving. I think the management should address fine details: In the shower area there is no place to put the shampoo, there was no bin or tissue box in the room, safe was not attached to the wall, barking dogs at the back yard of the building is not acceptable, overgrown vegetation at the back of the building, air conditional was temperamental, outside there is no prominent sign identifying the hotel, empty reception on ground floor and hotel reception on first floor makes no sense. Non-functional swimming pool is a big red flag, technically this is a sufficient grounds to claim for compensation, but I didn’t just because the staff was so nice.

Mohammed and his team was simply amazing 10/10, we stayed there for 4-5 days and their staff have surely made our stay wonderful. Their breakfast is 10/10, everything was freshly cooked on order served with freshly squeezed orange juice every day. We were welcomed at hotel with a bottle of champagne as a birthday gesture which they’ve later swapped it with food from their restaurant as we don’t drink alcohol. Our rooms were nice and clean and it was a decent size room. It isn’t far from the airport, uber taxi is around €13-14. There’s plenty of free car parking space around the hotel. As their hotel is brand new, they are still at the early stages of setting it all up. The toiletries were very basic. The swimming pool was not heated which was very disappointing.

Very nice boutique hotel. My room was brand new with all comforts (including a Nespresso coffee machine) and high end furniture, linen and towels. I was there for work so I didn't have the time to enjoy the pool on the rooftop which has a fantastic view on the sea and it's a perfect space for an aperitivo for example and relax. The staff was always available, very kind and professional. They supported me for every request (a special thank you to Mr Muhammad). The hotel is close to the main street that surrounds the island and there's a big parking so also with your own car it is easy to get out and visit Malta. Being so close to the main street during the day it is a bit noisy.
