Hotel Old Nickel

Room was not well maintained. Room was tiny. Hallways were tiny. Stairs were super tiny. Good location but for a 6ft4 man, this was too small.

Stayed in their second building room 401. Location was spot on. The guy checking us in was very smart and professional. Bit noisier on the Thursday night we stayed compared to the Wednesday. Room basic but good. I find in Amsterdam they only ever have a bathroom mirror. Full length mirror would always be appreciated. The shower head was a bit limp due to not being able to move the connector that moves up and down the shower for height. It was however lovely and warm. Heating needed put on high for even a small bit of warmth, but because the room is small it warmed up very quickly I had to turn it off again. Plenty of room to put luggage. The tv never worked but it didn't bother us as we were tired or out and about. Always find in Amsterdam as well there's always a little bit of dust around that's been missed mainly in room corners or on the top of plugs. This was one of the better places we have stayed. Would stay again. Beds and pillows the comfiest we have had also. Was also the only place that didnt have free coffee making facilities either in the room or reception area. People usually complain about the thin 'amsterdam stairs' but you just have to know what you're booking and do your research. We were fully aware what we may be walking up.

A localização do hotel é perfeita. Da pra fazer tudo a pé e super perto da estação central quando precisar pegar trem e ônibus.

Amsterdam’s old buildings have charm, steep stairs and small roons. Hotel Old Nickel ticked all the boxes - super central location, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, and friendly staff. Thank you !

I couldn’t even sit on the toilet the bathroom was so small. Terrible.

The toilet was smelly and the sheets were stained. When I asked the reception to change them they told me yes but never did.

Das Personal war nett und das Zimmer war auch gut ausgestattet (aber auch eng für 2 Personen). Das Treppenhaus war extrem eng und steil!

Great location in the centre of everything. Compact room with an unusual layout but it actually worked well for two people sharing. Comfortable and clean. You may want ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as its in a busy area and people come and go frequently.

Very Pleasent staff

Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff was excellent! Comfortable beds. Only negative was sewerage smell in 2/3 rooms

The location is super great -- literally next to the central station, red light district and Chinatown. Also, dam square and the palace are in a walkable distance. The single room isn't super big but it contains everything you need, and it's clean. Nothing to complain about. The staff is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! They're helpful, hospitable and polite. The reception runs 24 hours. One of them speaks a little Chinese ,which surprised me a lot! The bar at the reception also offers great beers. A potential downside is that you'll hear the sound from the street until around 10pm. Well, it's in the centrum so there are some bars. I heard them singing ‘Don't Look Back in Anger’ at both nights. I don't mind but it might not be suitable for you if you sleep super early. (or hate Oasis)

夜の到着となりましたがスタッフはとても親切で、安心して滞在できました。 階段は急なので気をつける必要があります。 部屋は必要なものがコンパクトにまとまっているので、狭いながらも快適でした。 遅くまで外が騒がしかったのが残念ですが、総体的に満足しています。

Das Hotel liegt super Zentral! Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kneipe des Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet und günstig! Es ist Nachts sehr leise. Es gibt viele Läden und Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Treppe ist etwas steil und klein das ist aber in Amsterdam oft so. Kann es sehr empfehlen
