Chef Elise was awesome! I loved hearing his travel stories and looking thru all his photos. He feeds the iguanas, fish and crabs too! Breakfast consists of eggs, omelet, whatever ingredients you like, toast, fruits, pastries & coffee. Great way to start the day.

This is not a luxury resort. It is everything you would ever want in a quiet, relaxing vacation where you feel like family and avoid all the hustle and bustle of a commercialized vacation. The family that owns and runs this resort make you feel very welcome! The chef prepares a wonderful breakfast each morning. He also took us on a private tour of the entire island! We saw things we would have never seen! We booked our next stay two days after we had been there and we are already counting down the days before our arrival!

This was the perfect stay. It's not a glamorous property but the room was big and very clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast provided was fine. It's right on the water and beach towels, lounge chairs, snorkeling gear are available. They also have kayaks for guest use. No fighting for access to chairs or anything else. Next time we go we will be staying there. It's also a family business. Owner and her brother and son work the property.

Location just by the ocean was splendid. The rest not so much. Room and bed was ok, bathroom however was not. Shower next to wooden laminate flooring is not a good idea, so bathroom smelled terrible of old moist.
We stayed 3 nights, no room cleaning during this stay so remember to ask for new towels.
Outside area is also neglected and worn. Breakfast seating next to the ocean is amazing, the breakfast itself not so much. No information given by the ”chef” but eventually we found out you could ask him to do an omelette.
Not so much to do within walking distance, we had a car which is recommended. 15 min drive to baby beach.
I guess the location makes up for a lot of the good ratings here but the rest was bad compared to european standards for this price.

Não vá esperando um resort, luxo padronizado ou aquela estrutura impessoal de grandes redes. Aqui tudo é autêntico, simples na medida certa e cheio de personalidade.
O charme está justamente nisso: nada é igual, tudo tem história, e o atendimento vem sempre acompanhado de um sorriso sincero.
Sem exagero, o melhor omelete da ilha faz parte da experiência.
Desejo muita sorte aos proprietários e, mais do que isso, que esse pequeno paraíso permaneça intacto, preservando sua essência e seu jeito único de receber.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Serene by the Sea. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly, helpful and responsive. They answered every question, helped us get transportation and made excellent recommendations regarding restaurants, the area and services. The facilities at Serene are very quaint, comfortable and provide a relaxing retreat. Savaneta is a great place to stay when in Aruba. Very quiet and picturesque, yet with easy access to downtown or other parts of the island. We will certainly stay here again the next time we visit Aruba.

Boy did we get lucky picking this place. The location is outstanding, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and most of all, the family that runs the hotel is so so so lovely. I want to write paragraph after paragraph about how much we enjoyed our stay here, but I also want to make sure that people read it and also chose to stay here, so I’ll just keep it to this: it’s right on the water, and you can see lots of interesting fish, and even a sea turtle here and there snorkeling right by where you eat breakfast (which is also lovely and includes visits from several named iguanas that visit for snacks from the cook each morning). We’ll be back, and I don’t want to stay anywhere else on the island.

Comfortable room, right on the water, loved the access to to snorkel equipment and kayaks. Daily breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.
