Stephan was an amazing receptionist! He was warm and accommodated my requests for a smoother check-in. The rooms were clean and peaceful. Good facilities. Breakfast was really goood too!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. We found the breakfast a good start for each day. The stay were always very friendly and helpful. The rooms whilst compact were clean and quiet and daily room service was maintained. Would we stay here again yes we would. The location was good also with easy access to city and sights.

This was my third time staying at HIE in Auckland , that should say it all. The staff is always welcoming, accommodating and super friendly. The entire facility is clean and that is at the top of my must-haves. Will always return here when passing through Auckland.

Another excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express Auckland City. This is a really convenient place to stay at a great price - right in the heart of the city and with car parking literally next door. Buffet breakfast is a bonus too. We will be back.

Best location, accessible, good breakfast

Very centrally located. Queens Street 5mins, Sky Tower 10 mins. Staff were very professional and courteous. Great Breakfast, something for everyone. Bedroom spacious, very comfortable bed. Highly recommend this hotel.

The stay and staff were fantastic. This hotel turned an otherwise failure of a trip bearable. I was able to eat at various places, get a couple of massages, do some shopping and enjoy myself even though I couldn't do any of the things I went to Auckland for due to an information data breach and having to get and wait for new debit and credit cards, as well and heavy rains and winds cancelling my more adventurous outings.

Spent 4 nights. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was decent.

I spent 8 nights at the Holiday Inn Express Auckland City Centre and would describe it as a solid 4-star hotel — practical, clean, and well located. The central location was perfect for sightseeing and getting around on foot. My room on the 11th floor had beautiful sunset views. It was basic in terms of decor, but Chromecast access was a great feature. The bed was comfortable, and there was a small gym and guest laundry, both useful for longer stays. Breakfast was included, though after a few days it started to feel a bit repetitive. A useful tip for longer stays: you can ask reception to have the chef prepare something different. They also provide breakfast boxes, which I used twice for early tours — just order ahead. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. The bar offered good wines, although the selection was limited. Only downside was the inconsistent housekeeping: coffee cups weren't cleaned or replaced during the entire stay, trash was sometimes missed, and bed-making could have been better. All in all, a good choice if you’re looking for a central, comfortable stay at a reasonable price. I paid around 70€ per night, and felt the value matched what was offered.
