I liked the friendliness of the people who stay and work there. From Rob calling me to check that I was still coming to stay and waiting till I arrived to chexk me in, to the other residents making it feel like a home away from home. I will be back again next year to stay for work. 😊

It’s a hostel in the centre of Mount Maunganui, so you’re going to get noise from the bars, clubs on its doorstep. But that’s totally expected, so the loud music from the club downstairs on the Friday night I stayed was no issue whatsoever.
The hostel itself is great, staff are super friendly and helpful, the kitchen has all you need and there’s a nice relaxed vibe.
The location is amazing for the Main Street and all it has to offer in shop, bars and restaurants. The main beach is a 5 min walk so you’re spoiled for choice.

Tidy bedrooms and clean toilets. Kitchen and lounge reasonable in size relative to the maximum capacity of the backpackers. Approachable, accommodating and friendly staff. I was able to choose my own bunk bed. Good wee community of backpackers, all we’re friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

Kitchen was clean, communal bathrooms are clean, friendly staff, good location, rooms were a tad bit old, but clean. Reasonable for the price. The staff was incredible. Katie, at reception, was gracious enough to even loan me her coat.

I could have stayed here for a long time! It’s a hostel. So it’s what you’d expect from a hostel. Busy rooms (I was in a 16 person room) but the people were all so nice. It’s clean enough for a hostel. You’re right in the centre of everything and beach is amazing!

Convenient location close to Mount Maunganui, the beach, and lots of cafes and restaurants.
The accommodation itself was okay, it is a hostel so you get what it says on the tin; it was quite noisy at night but there is a 11pm curfew.

A simple, friendly backbackers in a great location. The beds mattresses were very soft and therefore I didn't sleep the best, but the room was cozy and it was nice to have bedding provided and not staying in a sleeping bag like I expected
