We stayed 4 nights and had an amazing time! Tours are a bit expensive but they offered a package of 4 main tours + one day all food and drinks included for a fair price.

Breathtaking views, beautiful architecture, and a stunning lobby make this a very welcoming place to stay. I was truly impressed by the appearance of the hotel—it is elegant, beautifully designed, and blends perfectly with the surrounding rainforest.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant experience was excellent. The swimming pool is fantastic—beautiful, relaxing, and a wonderful place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The items sold on the property, such as tours, bottled water, and gifts, were fairly expensive, but that's common for resort hotels and did not take away from our experience.
I personally really enjoyed staying here and would happily return.
By the way, don't forget to visit the hotel's library. It feels like something straight out of Harry Potter!

Extreem hoge prijzen voor de excursies. Weinig keus voor het eten en kwaliteit van het eten is matig, niet wat je verwacht bij dit hotel. De service, keuze op de menukaart, kwaliteit van het eten, bizar hoge prijs voor één flesje water, en het algemene onderhoud, zou beter kunnen. Dan zou het echt geweldig zijn.

My husband and I had a relaxing stay at Gamboa Rainforest Resort. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the pool. Only slight issue was our AC wasn’t working too well. The room stayed a bit warm for our liking. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Loved our room with a view of the river with a hammock.
We especially enjoyed the aerial tram, monkeys, sloth and butterfly exhibits — the tropical landscape is magnificent.
It is very hot and humid, be sure to swim and stay hydrated.

This is a wonderful “back to nature” experience. It is in the rainforest - expect rainforest conditions. The staff here are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The property is in an amazing location but needs a little updating while I appreciate that there is constant moisture in the air, some areas could be updated / painted and maintained a little better. Our stay here was still wonderful regardless.

I had a great time in Gamboa; one of the reasons was the Hotel, Gamboa Rainforest Reserve.
I was really surprised with the location, Gamboa is a paradise. The hotel is beautiful, nice rooms. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and cool, considering the climate in Gamboa in late June and early July; the weather is very hot and the humidity intense.
The hotel has a beautiful bar with a balcony and a wonderful view. The service is very good, and the staff is very friendly.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were very good and varied.

A unique experience for outdoor activities, including nature hikes, canopy trams, swimming, Nature exhibits, birds, animals and everything rainforest. The hotel rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful, however, we found the buffet breakfast and lunch to be a bit pricey, if you are an older person with a small appetite like us. In our younger years, it would have been a good value proposition. We always enjoy our visits here and will return again. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
For jungle activities, lightweight long pants and insect repellent are helpful. Amazing fauna can be appreciated up close.

I spent 5 days here recently. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hardly any mosquitos during my visit. There was a problem with hallway lighting being out which wasn't addressed during my stay, though the front desk was aware. Pool and Monkey Bar staff were very nice. I had a few issues though. I took 4 tours while there, and only 1 was a good value for money, in my view. There are 2 restaurants at the hotel which include the Monkey Bar and another one level down, plus another one which is open on weekends but is a little walk from the hotel. The Monkey Bar had burgers/nachos/cake. The restaurant downstairs had only a buffet for lunch and dinner, and very few signs to describe contents. I have some minor allergies, and there was no way to know what was on offer, so I lived on burgers and chicken tenders for the duration. For breakfast there was an a la carte option, the a la carte American Breakfast was very good, ample servings. The grounds are interesting, lots of birds and a few monkeys. The area felt very safe.
