The Reef Island Resort Mactan, Cebu

Food was excellent. Little things like properly cooking hard boiled eggs where thay are properly cooled so the yolk doesn't grey. Attention to detail. Access to mactan new town with a 100 p ride is convenient. Attentive staff. dislikes Resort restaurant prices are too high. Every room should have an ironing board without requesting it. Only 2 complementary bottle waters per day. Should be free within reason. 175 p for soda is insane. Beach is lacking.

It was incredible, from start to finish! Went for two days, stayed for five!! The entire rezort was incredibly beautiful! The staff were the most friendly and very respectful! Best place I've ever been! Will definitely be back!

チェアインで１時間半待たされホテル側からランクアップの部屋を提示されたのですがオーシャンビューでは有りませんでした セーフティボックスが壊れていてスタッフを呼んで見たのですがすみません壊れていますとの事 部屋を予約どうりのへやに戻して欲しいと言って １時間半またされました。 またルームキープの時間を予約してその時間にスパを利用して部屋に戻ると何もベッドメーキングもしてなくてフロントに電話しましたが日本語はわからないあと言われ私はとても怒っていますと言ったらやっとルームキーパーがやって来て暑いバルコニーで待たされました。

The hotel pools and areas are absolutely stunning. The stuff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Shout-out to Mark for helping with the tours and Clyde for making our water-activities so fun!! The hotel breakfast is a 100000/10, you will not want to leave!!

If you are beach person The Reef is okay. Not very crowded. No entertainment like music live band.

The hotel is amazing including the facilities. The staff are amazing especially Clayde and Rose. They were very kind.

Overall good hotell. The location is not so good. Is it out of everything. Massage was good but of you pay for 1h you get 45 and When we booked 90min we only had 75min massage.

Das Zimmer war modern und sauber, aber nur mit einem schmalen Austritt statt einem Balkon. Das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht richtig ab und trat ins Bad aus. Das Hotel selbst ist ein schwarzer Klotz mit zwei Flügeln, die nur durch die Lobby im Erdgeschoss miteinander verbunden sind, so dass die Wege aus dem Nebenflügel lang sind. Zum Rauchen wurden wir in die dunkle Tiefgarage geschickt, nur um uns am nächsten Tag unfreundlich anzufahren, dies sei nur der „Regen-Raucherbereich“ und der eigentliche Raucherbereich sei komplett auf der anderen Seite des Hotels am Strand. So ein Aufhebens um das Rauchen hatten wir auf den Philippinen nur in diesem Hotel, und ich habe Verständnis für ausgewiesene Raucherbereiche, aber nicht so. Die Mitarbeiter and der Rezeption waren aber freundlich. Der Strand ist vom Hotel durch eine breite Asphaltstraße getrennt, die allerdings nur zum Hotel gehört und mit Pylonen für Autos gesperrt ist, so dass man sich fragt, wer auf die Idee kam, dort eine Straße hinzubauen statt Sand aufzuschütten. Der eigentliche Strand ist steinig. Das Frühstück hat zwar eine gute Auswahl, die Location ist allerdings nicht einladend - will man Meerblick, kann man sich nur in einen Glaskasten setzen, in dem es akustisch sehr laut und hallend ist. In Laufweite vom Hotel ist gar nichts, nach Mactan Newtown mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants muss man 10 Minuten Auto fahren. Alles in allem würde ich das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Staff are super nice

Hotel room was of adequate size. It had a nice balcony that had a sea view. Room came with 2 free water bottles a day. Room had AC that would turn off if balcony left open, environmentally sound. Biggest complaint is shower was never warm, even after mentioning it to the front desk. Pool area was nice with loungers and umbrellas, but not a lot of them and they filled up fairly quickly. You could order food/ drinks from the pool, which was convenient. Pool was only 4ft deep, but was open until 10 pm. Morning buffet breakfast was very good with lots of selection. There were several vegetarian options. Dinner and lunch had way less options. Lunch at the bakery was ok, the garlic rice and Margherita pizza were very good. The Adobo chicken didn't have much flavor. The food at The Kitchen had very limited selection and really no vegetarian options. The Spa was nice, with clean and private rooms. Treatment was reasonably priced and provider was very polite. Upon checkout they provided us with a take away breakfast as we would be missing it (although they did put can juice in it for the airport) and scheduled a taxi as requested. All the staff were amazingly nice, saying good morning and being helpful. Overall stay was very good with beach access, nice pool area, food options ok 8.7/10.

Hotel nuovissimo e bellissimo. L’unico problema ma che va segnalato e’ che l’altezza dell’hotel crea ombra sulla piscina e sulla spiaggia. Quindi dopo le 14 e’ tutto all’ombra.

Really beautiful. As an avid snorkeller I was impressed to be able to walk into the private beach and snorkel. There's not much in walking distance or to do here but relax, and swim, but it sure excels at relation and swimming. Such a perfect resort getaway. Magical view from breakfast too. Nice free towels at beach and poolside. Staff super helpful, helped me book a ferry on my phone. Exactly what I needed, zero complaints. Even the coffee was good, and I have very high standards for coffee.
