Hotellet er outdated og slidt. Værelserne er trætte med gamle møbler. Aircondition larmede meget og der kørte også affugter i værelset for at tage den værste fugt.
Stranden er overfyldt og ikke særlig lækker.
De stakkels havskildpadder bliver jagtet rundt af turister der ignorerer skiltet om at man ikke må røre dem. Det vrimler med russere.

Good: The beach. The pool. The variety of dining options. The hotel though in several areas like the rooms, lifts etc could be cleaner / better maintained. The AC struggled to lower the room temp below 24C. The light in the cupboard where the safe is located would not switch off. Flushing the toilet resulted in it running for over 5 minutes. The grout on the shower enclosures could do with the occasional clean with bleach…. Not what I expected of a hotel with such high daily charges.

Turtle beach and the hotel are quite lovely. Saw turtles on all 3 days there. Who knew Sri Lanka was sooo nice. The hotel breakfast is very good. Good variety of foods, good quality.

Avoid at all cost!
Hotel ia tired looking and Room is old, aircon is LOUD that you cant have a peaceful sleep! Gym equipment are rusty, Walkway to the room is dark and breakfast limited choice. Front desk is inefficient and security team lack initiative and worst they abused their authority ny profilitheir guest. The only plus in this hotel is the friendliness and efficency of service staff is crab shack restaurant.

Staff really friendly and helpful. It’s a 4 star hotel downstairs but rooms aren’t 4 star. Comfortable but compact and dated. Lovely views from balcony. Grounds and pool area plenty of space.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt im Hikka Tranz. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Die Lage ebenso super. Direkt vorm Hotel viele Restaurants und auch ein Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Beim Frühstücksbüffet gibt es eine große Auswahl von Pancakes bis Currys. Jeder wird etwas finden was einem schmeckt. Der einzige Kritikpunkt wäre, dass am Strand viele versuchen einem etwas zu verkaufen. Sei es Schnorcheln oder eine Tour in die Heilige Stadt Kandy. Man muss mehrfach dankend ablehnen bis sie es akzeptieren. Ansonsten gibt es eigentlich keinerlei Kritikpunkte bis auf den kleinen.
Ich empfehle jedem sich dort eine schöne Zeit zu machen.

Hotelli ja hotellialueet olivat kivat ja siistit. Hotelli hyvällä paikalla. Ruoka oli hyvää ja monipuolista.
Iso miinus oli kova musiikin tapainen jumputus, joka kuului huoneeseen saakka. Alkoi päivällä uima-allasalueella ja jatkui auringonlaskuun saakka.
Illalla alkoi seitsämän -kahdeksan aikaan musiikki pauhaamaan baarissa, mikä sekin jatkui illalla sitten klo 23 saakka. Ääni tunki huoneeseen saakka. Täytyi pitää korvatulppia tai kuulosuojaimia päällä, jos halusi keskittyä omiin juttuihin.
Pyynnöstä ainakin päivällä hiljensivät musiikin, mutta jo seuraavana päivänä pauhasi taas kovalla.

Great hotel for families - the buffet was good and the staff was very helpfull. There is direct access to the beach where big turtles are swimming for most of the day. The room was fine, except for the big noisy dehumifier that had to run all the time. That is the first time I've ever had to have one of those in my hotel room.
The service was great, and very helpfull to our 1 year old daughter, who really had a god time at the hotel.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the staff is a very shy of conflicts whit obnoxius guests. Which mean that when guests let their baby swim around naked in the pool (all normal people would a use a diaper), jump the que in the restaurant, call them idiots (or worse) they don't do anything about it. That is a shame.

Nice spot on the beach. A coral reef just outside that offer snorkeling with all kinds of fish including reefs sharks and turtles.
A very nice dive center with good prices, friendly and professional staff.
The hotel is priced as an exclusive hotel but is no longer. It is worn and old. A lot of things in the rooms are broken. Few electrical outlets, and not by the side of the beds for instance. Only local outlets, so you need adapters etc.
Buffet style eating, breakfast and dinners, sadly some people from Russia can’t behave (cut in lines and empty everything which they later don’t eat), this makes the experience poor for the rest of the guest.
Overly priced food and beverage, not expensive compared to Europe but 4-5 times local prices.
Easy access to restaurant on the beach or the main road.

This property is a pretty run down for the price. There are some good things about it for sure, and it could be a great resort. In my opinion these are the changes that need to be made.
-The front desk was slow, understaffed, have poor procedures, and at times had a bad attitude. We had a rude bartender who seemed very confused about our room number, arguing we had already checked out. Buying two beers while we were paying guests was an ordeal. The rest of the staff was great.
-The bed needs a headboard, like a proper bed. Your pillow is against a dirty wall that was stained. The room needed a deep clean.
-For many westerners like myself, coffee is more important than breakfast. Good coffee, readily available in larger portions, would be a simple, inexpensive change to make caffeine-fiend westerners happy. For me, bedding and coffee are the two most important things a hotel can offer.
-This hotel attracts some very unpleasant guests. It isn't the hotels fault, but be prepared.
