Ocean View

Lite hotel med enkel standard. Fin rom med stor balkong. Vi fikk kjøleskap og vannkoker. Eieren kjørte oss rundt overalt og kom med flotte forslag om hva vi burde se og oppleve. Veldig flott service, gjorde alt for at vi skulle ha det bra. En uke som jeg vil huske og ha gode minner.. Anbefales på det varmeste

Very pleasant stay. Definitely worth the money. Right next to a lovely beach. Only downside was the railway line, but not put off by it. Would stay again.

It is poorly managed and run down place. Pro - Beach is 200m away after crossing open train tracks. Cons - Run down old house - next to the train tracks (last train at midnight and the first at 3am) the whole room will vibrate with noise. - consistent power cuts and they dont have back up power source ( temp was around 32c) - There was no AC remote in the room and was made to pay UDS 10 to get the remote or you can burn in the heat. You could open the wimdow and loose all the privacy and let all the mosquitos in. - Ripped bed sheets, no towels, no toiletries, no water or cups, no blanket or quilt. - cockroach in bathroom and insects on the bed. - no lights around this place at night so ensure you take flash light. - The restaurant shown in picture is actully next door a diffrent business which is highly over prices and had really bad quality food. (In LKR - juice 500, dry ans cheap fish and chips 1800, fried rice with cheap and dry fish 1800, long island tea 1600) - No one ever at reception.. Visited over 25 countries I would say it was very poor experince and not worth it all. You can book proper hotel or home stay in Bentota and come to beach as they are public beach. You wornt be able to see the beach from thre room amyway due to high coconut ans palm trees.

Хороший отель, рядом с пляжем, что очень важно для Бентоты. Отель находится рядом с железной дорогой, поэтому если окна выходят к океану, иногда будут проезжать очень шумные поезда. Завтрак стандартный для Шри-Ланки. Персонал всегда готов помочь со всеми вопросами. От жд станции пешком 10 мин.

Hotel rooms are small & congested. No basic amenities like Tea kettle,tea coffee pouches glass to drink water,bathroom toiletries etc.No AC in room.website silent about AC facilities. No intercom in room.No person available for any service.Reception is far away and most of the time no staff present on seat.Mosquitoes bite big problem in rooms.Most abusive on internet feedback. I stayed three nights with most disappointing experience. Although I paid 70 pounds in advance. Bad situation for Indian tourists.

Requirement of snacks is need of an hour. As per house keeper the need to base food item is stored.

We stayed two nights at ocean view. The room was ok, but we saw big cockroach in the bathroom and we were so scared. The train runs every morning from 4 o’clock I think. The train track is right outside the „door“. So it was too noisy, I had to close my kids ears, it’s not just loud but hurting the ears. I won’t recommend people with small kids to stay there. The beach is just 200 meters away.

Very nice place for 2 star hotel.. Location is superb. Very close to the beach walking distance just outsides rooms. Breakfast served was really good like 4 stars.

The visit was good. Friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed place. You have the beach for yourself more or less. Pretty big waves, but fully possible to swim, but not possible to lay relaxed in the water.

Lovely friendly staff, helpful and prepared to arrange trips etc for you much cheaper than people on beach. Lovely beach stin a throw from hotel.

very basic rooms, no hot water in the shower. Had a cockroach in our room that got in our bags. Also the hotel is right on the train tracks which run every hour on the half hour through the night. My partner got very little sleep.

Quick. Took the river/lagoon trip for 2 hours. Fine for a short stay.

The host here is very professional and does his best to be certain guests have everything they need during their stay. The room was ideal for me: lots of space, a desk, dresser, large mirror, clean floors and clean linens marked with a beautiful, fresh flower signature. There are two doors, one that opens into the room and one that opens to a shared balcony. The balcony is clean and equipped with clean and well-kept patio furniture. An awesome rain began upon my arrival, so the weather was cool and the ceiling fan was perfect for circulating air and keeping it cool. Overall, specific attention to cleanliness and the quality of practical simplicity earned my favor. Ocean view is a great value!

Location is perfect. Staff is very friendly and help me with everything. Breakfast was amazing. Hotel has nice excursions for very cheaper price. I will come back soon. I love my stay here at Ocean View.

The room is big and comfortable with a big shared balcony with some reclining chairs and tables. This room is not an ocean view and is actually in a different property about 60 metres from the main one. The room is not so close to theach beach as the pictures would have you believe it's actually about 200 meters walk and crossing the railway line. WiFi was decent. The restaurant food pretty overpriced especially breakfast.

It's close to the beach so that's a plus. There are train tracks right next to it so every time a train passes, the entire hotel can hear it. We booked the place for two nights - but we realised that there is nothing to do in Bentota (it's a resort town perfect for honeymooners, not backpackers). We told of our dilemma along with the problems with our flight departure timings and the lovely person at the reception helped us shorten our stay - which was really kind of him! The rooms were clean and the bath had hot water.
