Warm, friendly staff - this hotel had a beautifully designed main building where we enjoyed al fresco eating from the varied and superbly cooked/arranged buffet. After dinner we enjoyed the ping pong and pool table which helped entertain our family. The swimming pool was sublime. The gardens, pathways and trees leading down to the beach were well kept and helped support a relaxing atmosphere. The bedrooms had everything we needed as well as incredibly comfortable beds - quiet, with the added bonus of a balcony. We loved our family holiday! The only thing we thought needed improving was the bar. It was not a relaxing place to sit and had uncomfortable chairs. If there had been a place to chill out comfortably with ambient music where we could purchase drinks and icecream - that would have been ideal. Hopefully, this could be incorporated into the rebuild of the beach bar.

Ein Traumurlaub im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel! Wir hatten einen absolut fantastischen Aufenthalt im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel und können es gar nicht erwarten, wiederzukommen! Von Anfang bis Ende war alles einfach nur perfekt. Das Abendessen war eine absolute Gaumenfreude – frisch, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen – eine riesige Auswahl und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Jeder Mitarbeiter war stets bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Der riesige Pool war der Wahnsinn – umgeben von einer wunderschönen Parkanlage, die für pure Entspannung sorgte. Ein Highlight war natürlich auch der private Strand direkt vor der Tür, wo man sich in Ruhe zurückziehen konnte und den perfekten Ort zum Abschalten gefunden hat. Es fühlte sich an, als wären wir in einem Traum gelandet. Wir haben uns auch eine Massage gegönnt, die einfach nur großartig war – pure Entspannung, genau das, was man sich im Urlaub wünscht. Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt einfach nur traumhaft und wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel. Absolute Empfehlung!

We had an extended stay at this property from late December through January. We were happy with every aspect of our visit. The food was exceptional and the staff always had a smile. Everybody from the General Manager, to Executive Chef to the house keeping staff regularly checked in to be sure we were satisfied and see if they could do anything for us to make our stay pleasant. They went above and beyond by doing things like play board games with our daughter when on a given day there weren't any other children to play with. Most days there were one or two other kids for her to play with, but there were a few days when were grateful the staff would help to keep her interested. The pool and condition of the beach was superb. By far the best up and down the beach and we checked them all out during our visit. It is remote, so there are not a lot of things to do outside the resort. That's OK as the hotel offers a fair amount of things to do and we like to be away from the hustle and bustle. Across the street there is a coconut farm that offers a very interesting tour. There is also an option to take a tuk tuk into town to get produce or poke around and see how the locals live. Some people warned us about the weather at this time of year, but during our entire stay it only rained a few times for about 5 minutes and one day for most of the morning. Very good considering we had an extended stay. We will definitely visit again next time we go to Sri Lanka!

We reached there around 2 PM. But the booking/reservation details were confusing. It took them more than 30 minutes to sort the room and booking/reservation details. Also inside the room in one of the beds we found some blood stains in the linens. We taked to the room services and they took care of it. However, i was really surprised to see something like thisin a such reputing hotel. Overall the accessibility to the beach and the view of sunrise was spectacular.

Overall an okai experience. The pool is quite amazing, enough space to hide from the hot sun when you need to. Close to the beach. The place is quite clean and calm. The staff (most) did not respond to our needs most of the time. They would tell you that they will be back, but would never turn up. The room was medium sized. The breakfast and dinner could have been better.

Luxus pur, das Zimmer wurde morgens gemacht und sogar noch einmal während des Abendessens (muss gar nicht sein). Essen super lecker, große Auswahl am Büffet. Der Pool unglaublich lang. Wir waren in der Vorsaison, also sehr wenige Hotelgäste

En arrivant depuis la réception la vite sur la piscine est magnifique. 108m de long en diagonal vers la mer la piscine du Jetwing Sunrise est la plus longue et sans doute la plus agréable du Sri Lanka. Il faut dire que nous étions hors saison, aussi elle était quasiment vide. Pourtant nous avons eu du beau temps. Le personnel est au petit soin, très sympathique et professionnel. Le restaurant est très bon, le petit déjeuner et extrêmement complet. Le chef s'adapte, en plus de la carte il propose un menu qui change au gré du marché. La chambre est correct sans être extraordinaire, mais elle dispose de toute l'équipement d'un hôtel de cette cathegorie (terrasse aménagée, lit king size...) Enfin, nous avons profité d'un tarif très doux pour un rapport qualité prix imbattable. Bref, vous l'aurez compris nous recommençons très chaleureusement cet établissement.

Staff need to advise all guests at check in regarding the 10% on taxes when dining at the restaurant. We were told that it was printed on the menu however it can easily be unnoticed on the menu card as the writing was so small. Overall the stay was adequate. The life saving guards were extremely friendly however the front desk need to ensure that all guests are informed with the relevant opening times of the restaurant and its taxes.

Wir waren eine Woche im Sunrise und haben dies als sehr erholsam empfunden. Unser Deluxe Zimmer hatte durch die Palmen hindurch Blick aufs Meer. Das Bad war angenehm groß und die Betten sehr bequem. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstteller und jeden Tag verschiedene Sorten Tee. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, besonders gut hat uns der Barbecue Abend gefallen. Einen dicken Punktabzug gibt es jedoch für das Frühstückspaket, dass wir uns für den Abreisetag vorbestellt hatten. Es enthielt lediglich zwei trockene Brötchen. Wir haben dann auf unserer Weiterreise ein Paar aus dem Nachbarhotel getroffen, die ebenfalls ein Frühstückspaket dabei hatten. Dies sah dann schon ganz anders aus als unseres.

This is a magnificent hotel located on the most beautiful part of Passikhuda beach. The building is beautiful, the huge swimming pool is amaizing, the facilities are perfect and well maintained. Prices at the restaurant and bar are reasonable. The staff is excellent and friendly. The management is professional at the highest level.. Every little request was immediately met. always with a smile. In fact all the personnel look happy to give service. I was very impressed by the wine list at the dining room. Sri Lanka is not a wine country. At this hotel they offer a rich wine list including 8 different 'house wines' of good quality and modest prices. In general the value for price was incredibly high.

Warm, friendly staff - this hotel had a beautifully designed main building where we enjoyed al fresco eating from the varied and superbly cooked/arranged buffet. After dinner we enjoyed the ping pong and pool table which helped entertain our family. The swimming pool was sublime. The gardens, pathways and trees leading down to the beach were well kept and helped support a relaxing atmosphere. The bedrooms had everything we needed as well as incredibly comfortable beds - quiet, with the added bonus of a balcony. We loved our family holiday! The only thing we thought needed improving was the bar. It was not a relaxing place to sit and had uncomfortable chairs. If there had been a place to chill out comfortably with ambient music where we could purchase drinks and icecream - that would have been ideal. Hopefully, this could be incorporated into the rebuild of the beach bar.

Ein Traumurlaub im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel! Wir hatten einen absolut fantastischen Aufenthalt im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel und können es gar nicht erwarten, wiederzukommen! Von Anfang bis Ende war alles einfach nur perfekt. Das Abendessen war eine absolute Gaumenfreude – frisch, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Auch das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen – eine riesige Auswahl und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Jeder Mitarbeiter war stets bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Der riesige Pool war der Wahnsinn – umgeben von einer wunderschönen Parkanlage, die für pure Entspannung sorgte. Ein Highlight war natürlich auch der private Strand direkt vor der Tür, wo man sich in Ruhe zurückziehen konnte und den perfekten Ort zum Abschalten gefunden hat. Es fühlte sich an, als wären wir in einem Traum gelandet. Wir haben uns auch eine Massage gegönnt, die einfach nur großartig war – pure Entspannung, genau das, was man sich im Urlaub wünscht. Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt einfach nur traumhaft und wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch im Sunshine Pasikuda Hotel. Absolute Empfehlung!

We had an extended stay at this property from late December through January. We were happy with every aspect of our visit. The food was exceptional and the staff always had a smile. Everybody from the General Manager, to Executive Chef to the house keeping staff regularly checked in to be sure we were satisfied and see if they could do anything for us to make our stay pleasant. They went above and beyond by doing things like play board games with our daughter when on a given day there weren't any other children to play with. Most days there were one or two other kids for her to play with, but there were a few days when were grateful the staff would help to keep her interested. The pool and condition of the beach was superb. By far the best up and down the beach and we checked them all out during our visit. It is remote, so there are not a lot of things to do outside the resort. That's OK as the hotel offers a fair amount of things to do and we like to be away from the hustle and bustle. Across the street there is a coconut farm that offers a very interesting tour. There is also an option to take a tuk tuk into town to get produce or poke around and see how the locals live. Some people warned us about the weather at this time of year, but during our entire stay it only rained a few times for about 5 minutes and one day for most of the morning. Very good considering we had an extended stay. We will definitely visit again next time we go to Sri Lanka!

We reached there around 2 PM. But the booking/reservation details were confusing. It took them more than 30 minutes to sort the room and booking/reservation details. Also inside the room in one of the beds we found some blood stains in the linens. We taked to the room services and they took care of it. However, i was really surprised to see something like thisin a such reputing hotel. Overall the accessibility to the beach and the view of sunrise was spectacular.

Overall an okai experience. The pool is quite amazing, enough space to hide from the hot sun when you need to. Close to the beach. The place is quite clean and calm. The staff (most) did not respond to our needs most of the time. They would tell you that they will be back, but would never turn up. The room was medium sized. The breakfast and dinner could have been better.

Luxus pur, das Zimmer wurde morgens gemacht und sogar noch einmal während des Abendessens (muss gar nicht sein). Essen super lecker, große Auswahl am Büffet. Der Pool unglaublich lang. Wir waren in der Vorsaison, also sehr wenige Hotelgäste

Our 9-day stay at Sunrise by Jetwing is a dream come true in every respect, great service, perfect location, beautiful and very clean hotel with a beautiful beach and a huge swimming pool. The food is delicious. An ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from a thousand tourists. The staff are excellent and friendly. The management is professional at the highest level. Nous avons eu un vrai coup de cœur pour cet établissement. En arrivant depuis la réception la vite sur la piscine est magnifique. 108m de long en diagonal vers la mer la piscine du Jetwing Sunrise est la plus longue et sans doute la plus agréable du Sri Lanka. Il faut dire que nous étions hors saison, aussi elle était quasiment vide. Pourtant nous avons eu du beau temps. Le personnel est au petit soin, très sympathique et professionnel. Le restaurant est très bon, le petit déjeuner et extrêmement complet. Le chef s'adapte, en plus de la carte il propose un menu qui change au gré du marché. La chambre est correct sans être extraordinaire, mais elle dispose de toute l'équipement d'un hôtel de cette cathegorie (terrasse aménagée, lit king size...) Enfin, nous avons profité d'un tarif très doux pour un rapport qualité prix imbattable. Bref, vous l'aurez compris nous recommençons très chaleureusement cet établissement.

Staff need to advise all guests at check in regarding the 10% on taxes when dining at the restaurant. We were told that it was printed on the menu however it can easily be unnoticed on the menu card as the writing was so small. Overall the stay was adequate. The life saving guards were extremely friendly however the front desk need to ensure that all guests are informed with the relevant opening times of the restaurant and its taxes.

Wir waren eine Woche im Sunrise und haben dies als sehr erholsam empfunden. Unser Deluxe Zimmer hatte durch die Palmen hindurch Blick aufs Meer. Das Bad war angenehm groß und die Betten sehr bequem. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstteller und jeden Tag verschiedene Sorten Tee. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, besonders gut hat uns der Barbecue Abend gefallen. Einen dicken Punktabzug gibt es jedoch für das Frühstückspaket, dass wir uns für den Abreisetag vorbestellt hatten. Es enthielt lediglich zwei trockene Brötchen. Wir haben dann auf unserer Weiterreise ein Paar aus dem Nachbarhotel getroffen, die ebenfalls ein Frühstückspaket dabei hatten. Dies sah dann schon ganz anders aus als unseres.

This is a magnificent hotel located on the most beautiful part of Passikhuda beach. The building is beautiful, the huge swimming pool is amaizing, the facilities are perfect and well maintained. Prices at the restaurant and bar are reasonable. The staff is excellent and friendly. The management is professional at the highest level.. Every little request was immediately met. always with a smile. In fact all the personnel look happy to give service. I was very impressed by the wine list at the dining room. Sri Lanka is not a wine country. At this hotel they offer a rich wine list including 8 different 'house wines' of good quality and modest prices. In general the value for price was incredibly high.
