Timeless Villa

It was my girlfriend’s first time visiting Sri Lanka and Ahangama was the first place we had been on the coast since she got here. Because of this we decided to spend a bit more on a hotel for a bit of a nicer stay. However what we got from a Timeless Villa was not this. We had various basic amenities missing from our room, for example we had no hand towels and we also did not get a kettle so had to ask staff to get us one from another room. We also only had one plug point where the kettle was supposed to go so we had to unplug the fridge in order to boil the kettle. But this was just the start of our terrible experience. At breakfast I asked for an extra slice of bread and they said I would be charged for this! I think that fact alone is outrageous considering how much we were paying. We had already stayed at various hotels in Sri Lanka at this point and they were all much better in terms of both service and comfort. We paid a lot less for a lot more basically. The view, pool and convenience of the beach being there is the only thing that kept us there. We booked for 3 nights but actually wanted to leave after the first. But we didn’t want to deal with all the hassle that would involve and potentially loose out on money as we had pre paid. We did also mention our grievances to a member of staff but they were only new so we didn’t want to take it out on them. However I think they could have raised it to their managers and I think we could’ve had been compensated a bit better.

Prime spot on the southern coast just outside of Ahangama town centre. Plenty of dining options near by, if you choose not to eat at the hotel itself (which has great meal options itself - the sea bass, quesadillas and chocolate milkshakes are highly recommended), breakfast was included and it’s bountiful. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The vibe of the place is great, the residents were predominantly families, but during the course of the day a lot of non-residents hang out at the beach garden and pool. Great beach access, sunsets and highly recommended location to stay.

The staff were very friendly. Sri Lankan style. Rooms were clean and spacious. Good value for the money. The food was outstanding. Breakfast was varied and plenty. Well located to all surf breaks. The surf in front of the place was big and closed out so paddle out to the point was tough with lots of current. Surfed on Weligama a convenient 15 minutes away

Ощущение что 10 тысяч из 13 полных, взяли за то что покрасили стены в бетонный цвет. Интернет работает ужасно, персонал с недовольными лицами, как будто делает тебе одолжение, нет ни кондиционера для волос, ни лосьона дл тела за эти деньги. Слышимость с улицы очень сильная, спишь под вечные песни из тук-туков и сигналы машин. За 3 недели отдыха это были самые бездарно потраченные деньги

Достаточно громко от дороги и ечли открыть окно от океана. Сервис очень слабый. В ресторане обслуживают очень долго и сильно завышены цены. Уборка номера очень слабая 1 раз в 2 дня. И 1 раз вообще забыли. Из плюсов,что хорошее расположение,центр серферской тусовки в ахангаме.

Prepare to be catfished by Timeless. The images on Expedia look amazing, it looks like paradise right? Well, be prepared for it not matching up to what you expect. We booked the best room / highest price point we could, arrived, firstly where shocked by the filthy corridors, flickering lights, leaks on floors, dust everywhere, incredible amount of noise from way too many people as they allow external visitors meaning it more resembles an amusement park than the chill beachside pad you're expecting. The main issue was our room wasn't the one we booked/expected. We booked a proper sea view, and this was on top behind the restaurant, so all you can see if the restaurant roof (plus hear the insane EDM they play constantly). When asking to change/for help, management told us to take it up with Expedia. Trying to take something up with Expedia is like trying to locate the Grail. It's all Bots / zero transparency / clear path to being able to actually make contact and relay an issue. At this stage there we're 0 accommodation available so we had to stay. The rooms are big but just grey concrete, stains everywhere. Super noisy off the main road. The service in the restaurant is slow and grumpy and small portions. Strange breakfast hours (8am-10) considering it's on a surf break so a lot of surfers staying and get up early so would love a coffee. The insane amount of people at the pool and hotel makes it impossible to chill.

The accommodation was fantastic, the food was great from a simple menu, I think they could have started breakfast 30 minutes earlier as a lot of early birds. Thank you

The room was amazing (as was the view!), and the food off the menu was great. Only downside was that the included buffet breakfast was very disappointing. We will definitely stay here again, but without the included breakfast.

Hotellet är fint och ganska fräscht i sig, men man möts av hög technomusik i restaurang- och poolområdet som spelas konstant från morgon till kväll (som också hörs väl i rummen), vilket man nog måste vara hög för att orka med. Det är även besvärande trafikljud i rummen, som ligger väldigt nära vägen (alla rum har utsikt över havet, men dörr ut mot gatan). Hotellet är dominerat av ryska gäster (ryska ägare och management). Blandade gäster i övrigt, men hotellet passar bäst för surfare anser jag. I övrigt - opraktiska rum (men snygga) och knappt fungerande wifi.

Nearly perfect hotel if you're into surfing, very nice positive vibes!

Preis/Leistung nicht genügend. Frühstück dürftig. Am Sonntag ab 18.00 DJ mit derart lauter Musik, dass man sich auch im Zimmer fast anschreien musste. Lage des Hotels ist schön direkt am Strand. Aber auch direkt an einer stark befahrenen Strasse.

ロケーションは最高‼︎サーフィン三昧するならおすすめ。ホテルの前が海なので色々と便利。利用した部屋は少しカビ臭かった。シャワーのお湯は出たり出なかったりです。ホテルの朝食は提供までにすっっっごく時間がかかるので、急いでいるときは諦めてください。 周辺にレストランはあまりなし。アルコール買うならトゥクトゥクに乗って5分くらい行った街で買えます。

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, und die zweite OG Zimmern haben einen Hervorragenden Meerblick. Zimmer war ziemlich klein und hatte keine Sitzecke, Sessel oder Stuhl, aber Balkon doch mit anderen Zimmern geteilt (Comfort Zimmer). Der Service war immer freundlich, aber manchmal ziemlich unorganisiert im Restaurant. Das Essen ist OK aber nichts besonderes.

We were very happy with the location and the beach, and the surf. But other than that, there were a few things this hotel needs to work on. The hotel wasn't finished when we arrived, we later found out that they had only opened 6 days prior to our arrival - it would have been nice to have been informed prior and maybe an apology in advance for any teething problems - of which there were a fair few! The room was not as advertised. No safe, no tea/coffee facilities, no wifi (only worked in the reception area, even then it was intermittent) no mosquito net and no TV. We were not impressed that it was completely falsely advertised. The lighting in the room was awful - only one option to have the main lights on which weren't very bright, no bedside lamps. The decor was very dark and depressing- grey concrete! We were unsure if the rooms had even been finished. (They have since updated the website photos which were bight and white) The restaurant was not finished and there were no menus to peruse - it would appear there were disagreements between the owner and the restaurant manager about what should be on the menu. There was not a roof on the restaurant so when it rained (which it did, A LOT) there was no where to sit and eat. VERY noisy road behind the hotel with all types of vehicles beeping their horns at all hours so you can forget having a lie in or a peaceful stay! The patio doors do not keep rain out. We had to ask staff numerous times to come and clean the room.

Helt okej hotell, fanns det man behövde o mycket renligare än vad vi Trode. Dock så kan man komma ner i pris mera o få ännu bättre standard men helt klart godkänt. Mycket trevlig o hjälpsam personal!

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I tried a few neighbouring hotels for dinner but this was the best by far on the beach front

We have left the place after 2 nights, although we booked four nights. Location is good but the service was outrageous. The rooms was not clean and the staff was indifferent for our request and did nothing from what we asked for (clean the room, change towels and so on)

Hadde et helt fantastisk opphold med god service, hyggelig ansatte og kort vei til stranda. Kan anbefales på det sterkeste om en ønsker et hotell med god standard til en god pris. Stranden hadde krystallklart vann, og så og si ubefolket. Her får man virkelig være i fred samtidig som en kan søke kontakt enkelt om man ønsker det.
