10 out of 10 it was perfect. Staff was also very helpful.

Wifi fungerar inte på rummet. Inte alls! Bodde en halvmeter ifrån routern men det gick inte. Personalen har ett wifi om man vill stå i receptionen. De har ett annat wifi (grannens) om man är i restaurangen. Men det funkar inte om du ligger i solbäddarna. Viktigt för mig då jag behövde internet hela vistelsen. Därav dåligt betyg. Halvslö service.

The hotel is not glamorous and amenity wise it is what you would expect of a midrange hotel. However it has a perfect location right on the beach and easy access to local tours and attractions. It is very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff were so wonderful and accommodating. They made such a good effort to make a personal connection with me and as a woman traveling by myself they made me feel so safe. The breakfast is made to order and not buffet style, so the food is very fresh and had a lot of options for whatever you preferred that day.

Fick först ett litet rum utan fungerande AC och med en toalett där man nästan satt i handfatet och grann hotellets generator precis utanför fönstret. Vi fick byta till ett rum med fungerande AC på kvällen. Plus är att det ligger nästan på stranden och de har gratis solstolar för de som bor där. I övrigt inte särskillt bra hotell, slitet.

There was mold in the hot plate pot used for water boiling in the room. All of the bathroom fixtures including toilet and areas in and around the shower were rusted, shiny slick tile on the bathroom floor (dangerous) and most of the tiles were broken. Concrete plastered on the walls. The shower water and room smelled of sewer. Ordered a whole fish (which I’ve done oin many countries) appeared to be rotten, or decompensated at best. I’m not sure the room had been fully cleaned from the last guest, there was still bathroom trash in the waste bin, and a folded hand towel on the floor in the bathroom. I heard a rodent scratching every night in the walls, ceiling etc. the air conditioning did work well and the water was hot.

The place is ok. I didn’t have balcony chairs however the staff explained that the ones for my room were in for repairs. The bed was too squeaky.

Not a place I’d recommend. The staff is nice and friendly but all the rest is horrible

It is difficult to judge at the time being (Oct-Nov 2020) as the number of tourists comibg to Zanzibar has decreased sharply due to covid epidemics. But for me being among a few guests for a half of a standard price it was a very pleasing experience. If you can go to Zanzibar now.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mocco Beach Villa. Its location is perfect in idillic Kendwa Beach, rooms are basic but comfortable, food at the restaurant is very tasty. The cherry on the cake is its staff, so friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Said, asante sana rafiki! We highly recommend this property and will most definitely go back.

Enkelt, propert, trevligt och välplacerat badortshotell med glad och tillmötesgående personal beläget invid strand och intilliggande fiskeläge. Stranden vid hotellet försvinner inte vid tidvatten och där fanns ingen grupprese-helpensions-allinclusive-publik. Allt funkar, dock inte wi-fi på rummen, vilket endast finns bar/mat-loungen

This is a very pleasant little hotel. The rooms are nice, clean with strong AC (a must in the area). Comfy beds with a good mosquito net. They also have a fun monthly Friday beach bar! The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. In fact, I left something in my room and left the area. They contacted me and had it returned to a different party of the island. Excellent customer service!!!! They even let us check in early cause our rooms were ready.

The staff here are fabulous. It's a really nice and low key place to stay and much more chilled out than the other places in Kendwa. Pretty basic but lovely staff and restaurant.

I'm being generous rating the hotel with 3 stars. The manager Shirleen was attentive and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. She is the main reason I'm not rating the hotel with less stars. The location is good and the room is clean. However, I would PAY ATTENTION to the cons: 1- the AC didn't work half the time we were there. We weren't the only ones complaining about this issue. For the price of this hotel, I would expect everything to be perfect. 2- the food at the restaurant was just OK and the portions were small. 3- the service at the restaurant was very slow. I do NOT recommend this hotel unless you are OK with dealing with those issues.

Personalen såg mestadels trötta och stressade ut. Det som var krångligt var att man måste ge bort sin rumsnyckel 10-13 om man ville ha städning. Dessvärre var vi sjuka och kunde inte lämna nyckeln så länge så då blev det heller ingen städning. Mycket dåligt system!! Önskar man ett billigt ställe för att man mest vill partaja så boka detta. Vill man ligga i en solstol nära stranden så rekommenderar vi att man bokar ett av de hotell som är högre upp utefter stranden, de såg trevliga ut och solstolarna är precis vid havet.

Overall, good value for the price. We stayed for 2 nights. Property on the beach as advertised! Staff was nice. The massages were our FAVORITE part! A must do! Just a few complaints: 1. No wifi in the rooms. You can ONLY get wifi in the restaurant. There's not even wifi near the front desk. Our room was relatively close to the restaurant, but as SOON as you leave the eating area the wifi could no longer be detected. So that was very inconvenient as we were using whats app as our main point of communication with our driver, family, and friends. So lots of late responses to messages. 2. The breakfast was good overall. Good variety. HOWEVER, there were flies flying all over. For some reason that was not AT ALL an issue for dinner, but the flies made eating breakfast nearly impossible. Had to throw away some parts of my food because of it. 3. This is likely just Kendwa beach itself, but there were a lot of vendors on the beach to the point that we were approached every 15 min. That took away from the quiet relaxing beach experience that I wanted to have. Having the shops nearby was convenient, but it's just the being constantly approached that i did not like. They would say "Jambo, where you from?" As SOON as you engage them, here comes the sales pitch! One was even like "give me five" as his opener. It got old pretty quick. 3. Only one restaurant on the property. It had some variety, so it wasn't bad for the price, but we had some snapper the 2nd night which was dry.

It's good. Exactly infront of the beach. 5' walking on the beach from Kendwa Rocks. Really calm hotel. People working there are very kind and helpfull.
