Ryan's Bay Hotel

The room was spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was excellent, and the menu had many choices to choose from. The staff is what made me stay here, as this was the second time.

Het onthaal bij aankomst in het hotel is zeer goed verlopen en ook bij het verlaten van het hotel is alles zoals gepland verlopen op een vlotte en vriendelijke manier. Personeel is in dit hotel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam als je hen iets vraagt. Het ontbijt zou iets meer mogen zijn want als je pas tussen 08.30 u en 09.00 gaat ontbijten is het meeste reeds weg. Wat ons echter van het hart moet is hoe het management van dit hotel minachtend met zijn personeel omgaat. We hebben dit hotel reeds meerdere malen bezocht maar wat we nu hebben gezien met eigen ogen wat betreft het management naar het personeel toe heeft ons doen beslissen om NOOIT meer voor dit hotel te kiezen. Deze keuze maken wij echter met veel pijn in het hart naar het personeel toe.

The food was amazing, including the breakfast buffet and later meal options. Restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient Ruth at the reception desk was very helpful in getting my luggage repaired for me. Reception desk staff were also helpful in communicating with drivers I hired and were completely fluent in English

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English. Ruth at the front desk assisted me in getting my luggage bag sewn together at a very reasoble price after it was torn by the airline. Dining room staff was wonderful. Cleaning and groundskeeping staff were also wonderful! Restaurant meals as well as the buffet breakfast were great!

I stayed here while volunteering at Bugando Medical Center. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the hospital. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice cool a/c. The beds are hard. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good - the breakfast was the same every day so got a little old but was tasty and filled us up for long workdays.

We stayed at Ryan’s bay for 8 days. I can’t say enough good things about it-wonderful friendly staff, delicious food, spacious rooms and beautiful location. Will be staying there ever time I go to Mwanza!!

This was my 3rd booking in Tanzania, and the cleanest and most friendly. Despite Mwanza being overly busy, and a major infrastructure site right behind the hotel (I understand it is NOT the hotel's fault), staff was above par in every way. Rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious and restful (once the work stopped each night).

What an amazing hotel! Ryan's Bay Hotel is a gem, and I'm glad I chose to stay there. I always pick a hotel based on the reviews, and this time, I wasn't disappointed.

Clean. Quiet. The room is spacious and has everything you need. Beautiful garden around and nice view on the lake. The staff is attentive and polite. We liked the place and would like return to stay.

Comfortable, spacious room in a convenient area! The room I received had a huge living area with kitchenette and a large balcony overlooking the pool and lake. Really nice setup.

It was very friendly and the staff were very nice and accommodating. It was a very 'green' location and the swimming pool was magnificent. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was big (or small depending on your choice) and good but the dining options (and wining) were limited.

Always ready to great you with a smile, quiet and calm campus, and are constantly making sure the amenities are up kept.

Was attending a conference in the area. Convenient location. Transportation was waiting at the airport as scheduled and check in was quick and easy. The room had a comfortable bed and included a balcony with a very nice view of the pool, the bay, and the sunset. Enjoyed the pool. Only had breakfast one morning, but it was good. Had dinner in the restaurant 3 nights and it was great each time. Very good service in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Prices seemed very reasonable. Enjoyed the pool each day after work. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Transportation to and from the conference was easily arranged with a taxi driver and we were able to charge the costs to the room which made it a lot easier. Lovely landscaping, plants, and art work on the property. It is an older property and not a 5 star resort, but was a great value for the cost. Hot shower with good water pressure. Internet is slow, but that seems to be the case most places in the area from what I can tell. Internet is poor even at the high end places as well in this area. Was able to work from the room, but had to wait on things to load up, etc..Perhaps I am a bit spoiled and too accustomed to good fast wifi. There are local artists and vendors just outside the entrance and I was able to get some a few gifts for people back home by just walking out to the front. Is not a big place and definitely has a family friendly feel to it. I felt welcomed and comfortable there.

The Lake Victoria view from the restaurant deck is so beautiful. The staff is super friendly and nice. I am amazed at how clean the staff keep it. My room was mopped fresh and clean each day. The breakfast was not to my liking. I am not a fan of certain foods which are more popular here. My major complaint was that my bed had an area that was uncomfortable but sleeping at an angle made up for it. Overall, a grand hotel.
