Smiles Beach Hotel

We enjoyed our stay! Definitely recommend

Hotellets beliggenhet er virkelig fantastisk, med en nydelig strand og utsikt! Solsengene er komfortable, og de store parasollene gjør det enkelt å slappe av i skyggen. Dessverre var servicen, særlig i restauranten, en skuffelse. Med et navn som «Smiles Beach» hadde vi forventet en mer vennlig og imøtekommende atmosfære. Gjennom hele uken vi bodde her, opplevde vi svært lite smil og gjestfrihet fra personalet som serverte oss frokost og middag. Dette stod i kontrast til den generelle vennligheten og imøtekommenheten vi ellers opplevde fra lokalbefolkningen på Zanzibar. Frokosten var også ujevn i kvalitet, noe som gjorde måltidene mindre hyggelige enn forventet. Alt i alt har hotellet stort potensial, men servicenivået, spesielt i restauranten, må forbedres for å gi gjestene den opplevelsen de håper på.

Hotellet serverar ingen alkohol. Kan vara bra att veta. Går enkelt att gå till restaurangerna vid sidan av om man vill beställa.

J'ai lu beaucoup d'avis avant de choisir cet hôtel. J'avais des doutes à cause des mauvais commentaires mais nous avons tenté notre chance à cause de l'emplacement directe sur la plage. Quelle déception! Autre que la vue exceptionnelle sur la plage, c'était moche. Service aux chambres un peu bizarre d'installation de moustiquaires avec Insecticides qui laisse à désirer. La bouffe juste ok. L'option buffet du soir est un peu plus intéressant. Le menu à la carte, complètement nul. On m'a servi une salade complètement défraîchi visible à l'oeil nu sans gêne! Le pire poisson que j'ai goûté de ma vie! Sans épice, sans goût. Tout etait décevant même les desserts. Un seul choix à faire à la carte et tanpis si on aime pas! On nous offre seulement 3 choix de boissons gazeuses. Personnellement, on ne boit pas de boissons gazeuses et le jus n'est pas offert gratuitement. Pas de café ou thé offert avec le souper non plus. Pas d'alcool non plus (on l'a lu dans d'autres commentaires) mais on s'attendait à une meilleure variété de boissons pour compenser. La musique country moche à ne plus en finir, les employés semblaient complètement désintéressé aux services. Les employés font trop la jasette entre eux.On a quitté plusieurs fois la table sans être débarrassé alors que les employés sont tous là. Même au déjeuner, il manquait des choses au buffet qui ne se faisait pas remplir automatiquement par les employés. Il fallait carrément les aviser pour qu'ils se bougent. Je ne recommande PAS!

A grumpy guy at the reception. The guard tried to refuse my girlfriend to enter after dinner one day, we went in anyway. The guard came with a person from the reception, who was screaming "she must leave now". No, we came together a few days ago and we will leave together. I showed him her cloth and her passport from the safe. So instead of looking in the register in the reception the guy came to harass my girlfriend. They went away without any apology. The place is halal, so no beer or wine if you fancy that with your food. Or not liking the way the animals are killed to be halal. No animation team. Very nice and thorough cleaning staff. The beach in front is very nice. A cracked speaker during breakfast, high volume, you want to leave the place asap.

Great location but lots of noise early in the mornings from somone shouting/talking very loud nearby. A note for some that alcohol is not sold or allowed anywhere on the premises

My partner and I stayed for 4 days and we loved! We had a great time. All the staff were ao nice, respectful and kind. From Mohamed who made our check-in to all the other staff, cleaners, kitchen… thank you so much! The location was very convenient, walking distances to many restaurants, in front of the beach with an incredible view and facilities. I would highly recommend it and would stay again.

Amazing! The only negative point is that alcohol is not sold in the bar and restaurant, but we already knew the information

We enjoyed our stay at your quaint hotel very much. Walking along the beach was easy. Your restaurant was good and the included breakfast was generous with eggs made on the spot. The pool was wonderful ! We wish there was more light available in the room and the bathroom.

The staff and owner were so incredibly nice and extremely helpful!

ゆっくりと過ごすのにはとても良い環境。 ビーチサイドもプールサイドもゆっくり過ごせる。 部屋もきれいで広く居心地が良い。 残念ながら食事は少し口に合わなかったが好みの問題だろう。 WiFiは少し不安定だが好調な時はストレスなく動画を再生できた。

Good facilities. Good location. Don't use their taxi driver Mr Fantastic or whatever his name is, to go to Stone Town as he charged me more than originally quoted at the hotel.

Great & friendly staff. Always on hand to meet every need and beyond. Paradise location, would defo book again

- mancanza TOTALE di pulizia su ogni fronte , lettini prendisole rotti e sporchi di escrementi , piscina impraticabile dalla sporcizia , piastrelle rotte , assenza di guardiani la sera ( i beach boys entravano e dormivano sui lettini o spacciavano qualsiasi tipo di sostanza stupefacente ) - assenza totale di MUSICA perché mussulmani a questo punto integralisti - servizio lentissimo e quasi inesistente - assenza TOTALE di alcol ( nemmeno una birra ) sempre perché gestita da mussulmani - camere prive di acqua calda ( per una settimana ci siamo docciati con acqua fredda ) - aria condizionata senza un regolatore di temperatura ( o 16 gradi o si doveva spegnere ) - luce insufficiente nelle camere la sera Ma SOPRATUTTO CUCINA IMMANGIABILE CHA HA CAUSATO AL GRUPPO UN INTOSSICAZIONE ALIMENTARE CON FEBBRE ALTISSIMA SPASMI E COLICHE E TUTT'ORA IN ITALIA SIMAO SOTTO ANTIBIOTICI PRETENDEREMO UN RIMBORSO PER I DANNI !!!!

Everything is perfect, but the breakfast and coffee is terrible

Our stay at Smiles was one that I would recommend to anyone. Staff food everything was fantastic. One complaint but very minor I would have loved good coffee.

The place had the perfect location and the staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend.
