DD Hut Koh Tao

Ligger ca 10 min promenad från färjeläget mellan de två stora stränderna. Det ligger en mindre strand nedanför hotellet. Stort rum med kingsize sängar och ingick även badrockar. Kunde inte betala med Visa utan bara Mastercard trots flertal försök. Bokade snorklingsutflykter med Oxygen vilka var väldigt bra organiserade.

Rooms were clean and well maintained, staff polite and helpful, restaurant/bar with snooker table at bottom of hotel.

I would NOT RECOMMEND staying at this hotel. - The first room (triple room with seaview) smelled like sewage, and instead of properly addressing the issue, we were moved 3 TIMES during our stay. - Dirty bathrooms, leaking ceiling, and a broken toilet seat made for an uncomfortable experience. - Non-existent WiFi —the hotel does not have a proper working wifi. They borrowed access from another hotel, but it never worked. - If you plan to stay and do remote work here, don’t bother. - The shower was either scalding or freezing, with no in-between. - Filthy sheets and pillows —check them before using! Pillows and sheets have heavy yellow stains - Lounger cushions are dirty —not a place you want to relax. - The pictures online are very misleading—it does not look as clean as it is - The place is run down and not maintained. - The staff blamed everything on a recent storm, but the same issues persisted in multiple rooms. - Inconsistent customer service—first, they said our breakfast was comped for our stay due to the room issues, but then they reversed the decision the next day. - At almost 5,000 THB per night, this hotel was a complete rip-off—there are much better options for far less. - Our stay in Koh Tao should have been a highlight, but this hotel ruined the experience. Pros: - Great location—within walking distance of all the main attractions

Moved from freedom relax beach resort after being screwed by the manager. This hotel was great! Cutely decorated and the staff was friendly

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking to the pier area and the main sunset beach. The view from the pool is amazing. You can rent the scooters on site. This was our favorite stay in all of Thailand :)

We had a mixed experience at this property. On the positive side, check-in was seamless, and the staff polite. It’s conveniently located. Our unit had a porch with a lounger, and a hammock out front. The A/C was cold, the breakfast buffet decent, the pool close by, and the nightly singers were a bonus. They also arranged return transportation to the pier. However, our experience was marred by several issues. There was no assistance or advice on transportation from the pier, beyond saying it was a 10 minute walk. But that estimate is only if you aren’t rolling suitcases uphill over uneven ground. Our room, number 11, was located near where demolition/construction was taking place. The constant racket all day was unbearable, despite earplugs and noise-canceling headphones. Additionally, the lack of privacy on our porch due to the public stairway, and the view of the adjacent garbage area, was also a drawback. A half-wall partition would improve privacy and block the unsightly view. Furthermore, the rooms could benefit from some renovation, as the decor and linens were worn and dingy. Another huge issue was the inconsistent Wi-Fi, which dropped out for up to 1/2 a day at a time! Overall, our stay was adequate. While this property might be suitable for those who plan to be out most of the day and use their own data, it didn't meet our expectations for a relaxing retreat.

Fabulous property!! Simple, comfortable, clean and in an incredible location just outside of the nicest strip in Koh Tao. The restaurant and bar on the cliff were stunning, the pool perfectly appointed for the most incredible sunsets and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It’s not fancy but boy, does it deliver!!

Relax, tranquillità ma anche comodità di trovarsi vicino ai servizi. La camera è dotata di 2 terrazze, una piccolina vista mare e l'altra con tavolino, lettino, stendino per i costumi, dove ci si può rilassare dopo il mare. Staff disponibile, ristorante della struttura molto carino fronte mare e con prezzi giusti. Nolleggio moto fronte reception, un pochino più caro ma molto comodo. Piscina piccolina ma graziosa con vista mare e tramonto. Sarei rimasta volentieri qualche giorno in più ma purtroppo non avevano disponibilità!

Das Hotel liegt auf einer Anhöhe direkt vorm Strand. Man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht über den Strand. Man hat alles in der Nähe, ist aber etwas Abseits des Trubels. Wir hatten ein 4er Zimmer. Es war sauber, aber schon sehr abgelebt. Teilweise ist Farbe abgeblättert oder es waren Flecken. Das Bad hat die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Der Durchlauferhitzer hat auch nicht mehr wirklich Leistung gebracht. Allerdings werden viele der Zimmerer renoviert und sehen vielversprechend aus. Hatten hier das Pech en altes zu erwischen. Beim Zimmerservice hat nicht immer alles Funktioniert. Mal würden Handtücher vergessen oder das Wasser nicht aufgefüllt. Allerdings wurde sofort am eine Lösung gefunden, wenn man sich an die Rezeption gewendet hat. Das Restaurant haben wir nicht genutzt und die Bar war über unseren ganzen Aufenthalt geschlossen. Das personal, besonders an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und immer Hilfsbereit.

Loved the most the layout, design and location of the resort. The lighthouse design was so cute and like nothing we have stayed in before. There were only a few rooms on the property which made it feel secluded and peaceful. With a restaurant and infinity pool just 5 steps away from our rooms we couldn’t have asked for a better stay on koh Tao. Staff were so kind and helpful.

Second time here, the rooms are spacious, clean and have amazing views. The staff are as friendly as they were before. Only fownside is nowhere to unpack your clothes so living out your suitcase on the floor. The restaurant is now very pricey for the area, and unfortunately the food doesnt match the prices. Worth a 5mins walk to a llace called pranees kitchen for authentic Thai food

Ruhige Lage aber nur wenige Meter bis zum Partystrand.

The hotel was conveniently located near the beach and various activities, yet situated in a quiet and pleasant area. We enjoyed our first dinner at the hotel with a stunning sunset view. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and super nice. Despite the reception closing at 8 PM and not reopening until 7 AM, they assisted us with our early check-out for diving. Additionally, it was great that the hotel provided free transportation to the pier. The breakfast is decent, but there are many other places close by that serves a great breakfast at the same price. If you want to rent a scooter, there are to scooter rentals just by the hotel which was very convenient.

Great location, quiet and separated from the hubbub, but a quick walk to everything. Good shade trees, great view from the pool. Would stay again, recommended.
