I loved the privacy of our pool villa but my ONLY issue was that the pool was not heated and was quite cold..even in the hot weather it needed to be warmer. Plus they didn’t have any lamps. The lights were a little weird in the room.

We loved Railay Bay Resort and wish we stayed longer. I had 2 massages with Kate which were excellent. The only downside is the restaurant on location is quite average. The restaurant is very understaffed, but otherwise the rest of the resort seemed well taken care of with plenty of help.

The atmosphere was calm and friendly. Staff very attentive. Monkeys, lizards and exotic birds visiting everyday. Two great pools, the one outside our terrace was peaceful, always sun loungers available. Good choice at breakfast but lunch and dinner prices quite expensive in comparison to local restaurants. Overall, loved my stay.

Stayed in a ‘Mai Phai Tropical Villa’ which was renovated to a reasonable standard and was reasonably spacious. The vegetation surrounding the villa and the inner walkways was well kept. The bed was comfortable and there were clean sheets. There were sufficient chairs and a sofa. The standard of cleanliness in the villa was reasonable. White towels provided and beach towels plus a carry bag. Complementary drinks/snacks in the minibar. Overall the villas are close to each other laid out in rows with small walking avenues in between, there is one main avenue for the hotel tuk tuks to take guests from the pier to the reception area and for villa services. The main avenue is not very nice and it’s smelly. There are two very small swimming pools in compact areas. The reception area is not welcoming and the staff were unenthusiastic, fed up, tired and their English is very basic. When asked questions they were not interested in replying if it was outside of their rehearsed lines. The restaurant food is very poor and expensive for what it is, the staff are again not as you would expect for this supposed quality of hotel. The breakfast was extremely poor quality and we felt sick after the dishes we ate. Tablecloths, cutlery and furniture were old and worn. Not one guest smiled for our stay, this said it all, guests were unhappy. Website is cleverly marketed with empty beach etc, this is not how it is. This was a disappointing stay and Railay is too overcrowded. Best to avoid.

Excellent property that has a couple great pools, lots of chairs and umbrellas to hide from the sun. The garden and greenery were well tended. Great location on the beach slightly away from all the boats launching but not too far to have to carry your bags. In front of the hotel there is an area cordoned off for swimming and that’s right out front of the property. Restaurant served a great variety of breakfast at their buffet which was included in our stay. Only negative comment would be that the rooms could use a bit of a refresh. We had an excellent stay. Feb 10-13th 2025.

This is a beautiful property and my pickup at the airport and long boat ride to resort was great. The villas huge and the terrace was a great place to enjoy the wonderful trees and flowers all around. The views of the mountains was amazing.
