Great property not new but well kept

My husband and I spent five nights in mid-June at Royal West Indies Resort. The best thing about the resort was the proximity to the beach. We stayed in building 1 with an oceanfront room. When we left our room we were at the beach within 2 minutes.This stretch of Grace Bay Beach is perfect! There were plenty of loungers with umbrellas every day. The towels we were given at the entry to the beach were big and plush. The sand, the water… Everything was clean and gorgeous! Our room had a balcony with a great view of the ocean. The room itself was a bit dated; the furniture showed some wear and it would benefit from a bit of work. But that did not bother us one bit. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. The TV had a number of streaming services available. The resort staff was fabulous… the Front Desk staff, the man who took our bags to our room, the fellows tending the grounds, the people we got the towels from at the beach, housekeeping… everyone was friendly and helpful. Shout out to Sherman who was a joy to see every day. We did not rent a car on the island so the desk staff called us a taxi whenever we needed it. We never had to wait long. We were within walking distance of Graceway Gourmet but it was not a nice walk with arms full of groceries. I would much rather be at this location than closer to more shopping/restaurants, as I think the proximity to the beach was not as nice further down. Highly recommended! We hope to return!

Very nice place

Just returned from a 5 night stay with my husband and parents at the Royal West Indies in June 2025. We booked a Botanical View two bed, two bath condo which I highly recommend. It’s a connected studio and one bedroom, each with their own patio (or balcony; we were ground level which was convenient to walk out onto the property) with plenty of privacy for each couple. The rooms are spacious and kept extremely clean with daily housekeeping. The beds were phenomenal with memory foam mattresses and comfortable pillows; we’ve traveled extensively domestic and abroad and agreed the layout/comfort of the rooms was top notch. The grounds are also clean and well maintained. Amenities including Adults Only/Quiet pool and hot tub, beach loungers/umbrellas and access to Pelican Bay restaurant made the vacation. Grace Bay beach is spectacular. Rickie’s Flamingo cafe is a ten minute walk along the beach (with a separate Cabana bar next door) and we enjoyed walking back and forth for a change of scenery and their own food/drinks with ocean views which cannot be beat. The Pelican’s happy hour 5-7 was great and the food overall delicious. I am vegetarian and the staff were very accommodating (I ordered largely from the main menu, which includes vegetarian options, but they also offered dishes made to order upon request). The local Turks beers were excellent and Peterson would bring iced buckets directly to us on the beach. Truly a 5 star resort!

The grounds are beautiful, loved the garden view. Happy Hour was great, daily from 5-7. Room was fine, definitely could use some updating. I would stay here again, it was a great location. Very quiet, was not crowded at all. I’d say the most I ever saw at the pool at a time was ten people.

Property was close to many other beaches and resorts. Super clean with friendly people all over. Very hospitable and welcoming.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were immaculate and very quiet. Beach front with complementary beach chairs, umbrellas and towels with beach staff. Accommodations were big and newly renovated clean with kitchenette. Perfect distance to dining and shopping.

Sherman at the front was amazing. Samuel, Gab, and Bert were amazing at the bar. Everyone was friendly. Beach and pools were beautiful.

Awesome place with bikes and water sports for entertainment! My only gripe which some would consider a plus is the TV sucks but who wants to use that on vacation.

Great place to stay. Beautiful grounds, close to the ocean. Lots of amenities. Just double check your receipts at the bar. Was overcharged a couple of times.

Everything was excellent! Would definitely go back to Turks and stay at the Royal West Indies again.

Amazing resort on Grace Bay Beach! Upgraded to an oceanfront studio which was extremely worth the view and location on the property! Resort staff was spectacular from front desk, grounds keepers, beach attendants, housekeepers, bar & restaurant staff. Sherman, Peterson, Fresnel and Enoc to list a few! I will definitely be coming back to visit! What a gem of a resort!

I stayed here five years ago and decided to come back, but unfortunately, the place really needs some updating. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit that had a cockroach, and one of the bathrooms had yellow water coming from the shower. Maintenance came to fix it, but the situation got worse when a water leak spread through both rooms. No help was offered with packing up our kitchen items, and only after I said the situation was unacceptable did they offer to move us. The staff could definitely be friendlier, and things like rusted bathroom knobs and a rusted dishwasher really show the wear. That said, the location is amazing—if all you want is easy access to a beautiful beach, this place still delivers on that.

The grounds are kept very nice , it’s clean and has a good restaurant and happy hour every night at the bar from 5 to 7, nice beach and friendly staff

Beautiful property and very well maintained! Room was large and had refrigerator, washer/dryer, sink and coffee maker. Pools were lovely but the beach is simply stunning! Powder soft sand and crystal clear turquoise water. Restaurant was very good too! We will be back!

Great place, second visit to the resort. Enjoyed being able to use beach gear and the bicycle available for guests. The staff are great from the time you arrive until you leave, plus helping with cabs, excursions and dinner reservations. Looking forward to a return trip to this perfect place on the beach.
