The amenities and location were the best parts of this property. We have two teenagers and we definitely enjoyed the amenities (pool, cornhole, bacci ball, ping pong, etc). Great grounds, really enjoyed the activities at night, especially when it cooled down a bit. We got some awesome sunset photos from the upper levels of the property.
Our only regret was the chickens/roosters that crow all hours of the morning. Not fun to be awaken unexpectedly at 4am during your vacation. There is reference to potential noise issue noted during check-in, and plenty of the reviews also mention this. This was the only negative of our stay at this property, otherwise we loved it!

I’ve stayed for just one night, I was supposed to pay $183.20 with breakfast and a $15 credit to the bar for a drink. When I’ve got home I’ve two charges one for $183.30 plus another one for $244.90 so almost $500 for 10 hours of stay. Breakfast was supposed to be free they charged me $72 the $15 credit was also charged Expedia didn’t mention anything about a resort fee. This is a steal.

Hotel agradável, novo ou reformado, instalações muito bem decoradas. Quarto bom, mas se houve barulho vindo do corredor ou da rua, pois pegamos quarto com vista para a baía. A limpeza do quarto deixou a desejar, não tivemos arrumação enquanto lá estivemos por dois dias, para um hotel resort a justificativa de sustentabilidade não tem cabimento no quesito arrumação. A piscina também não pareceu muito limpa! Este hotel faz parte de um complexo e tem outro hotel ao lado, cuja piscina pude acessar e que estava muito melhor e mais limpa. O tranfer para o centro funciona super bem. O café da manhã é estilo americano, mas como tem um starbucks no próprio hotel não vejo necessidade de reservar a estadia com café

Took over an 1.5 hrs to get towels. Asked for 3 bath towels. Was brought a whole set floor bath, wash clothes, hand towel and 1 bath towel.
Requested 2 bed room, was provided a king with pull out soda. That was fine. However took a long time to get the sheets and blankets for the sofa after we called.
It's a beach area. The floor gets dirty easily. Only got room service to clean the floor after we requested on the last evening of 3 night 4 day stay.

Amazing property. Pictures are exactly what you expect. Front desk and staff try to go the extra mile. “Backyard” has lots of family entertainment. Irena was excellent at the pool bar. The locals even visit the pool bar. As a guest of the Blue Flamingo you have access to 3 other properties adjacent to the resort. Free timely shuttle to historic Key West. Concierge, Jessie was informative, knowledgeable and friendly! Would return! Roosters and hens (lawful) were a negative

It was a beautiful property. The resort fee is 45$ each day, and parking is $15 per day. You're already paying a hefty price for the rooms, and having a resort fee and parking fee is ridiculous. Besides the fees, the property is over run with roosters to the point that they give you ear plugs in your rooms because the roosters scream at 3AM. If you're trying to sleep in on your vacation, consider going somewhere else. Expedia should ban all listings that require a resort fee/parking fee or have that included in the listing price.

The hotel was okay, I could justify the price for the shuttle bus alone. I paid for the breakfast inclusion but the place that made the breakfast was under construction…. I went to ask front desk and all she repeated to me was “next building” they gave you a map an overview of all their properties so it was not helpful getting around the hotel I was actually staying in. The room was clean my only complaint was the toilet looked damaged, the Mats were like dirt stained. The only way I was able to get around was through the help from housekeeping and renovating crew. It just felt like the front desk was just focused on my check in and hoped I’d figure the rest out.

Everything was great. Convenient to get to most grocery, gas and fast food. The shuttle saves you the drive to downtown. The room was very nice and clean. There are many amenities on the property for you to enjoy with the family. It is also pet friendly. We didn’t bring our pooch but many did. They had a great time. We highly recommend this property.

Terrible hotel, was a complete dump. We had three cockroaches crawling around our room in the light. We then asked for a different room, in which the night desk clerk proceeded to tell us that the cockroaches were part of the "island experience". We were able to get moved to a new room at midnight, in which the elevator did not fully work to get to nor did the shower get to fully warm or hot water. And the property does nothing to control roosters from invading the place and allows the roosters to obnoxiously crow in the middle of the night while you are trying to sleep. They do give you complimentary earplugs to help drown out the crowing roosters LOL (I didn't find this so funny while trying to sleep through the crowing). Also, the overall crowd staying here is a relatively trashy group, which is also not my jam. The hotel lobby is nice and the rooms themselves were presentable. But don't be fooled by this dump. It is a cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for. At the end the, assistant manager did go out of her way to make the situation right and waived some of the cost of our one night stay, which was good. Overall service was good outside of the gentlman who was the night desk clerk.
