I read reviews the day before going and I was so scared what I was going to walk into it. Front desk guy super awesome! My two boys 18 and 9 loved him. Went to the room and me and my 18 yr old immediately checked the beds. Nothing wrong I’m weird and I take my own blankets anyways. They wash their comforters by the way. Not like most hotels. I saw them taking them out of the rooms to the laundry. Could it use updating? Yes. But that’s different from gross. It wasn’t gross. It was small. No chairs. So take beach chairs or something. That didn’t stop us from having a good time though. The walk to the beach/boardwalk was like two minutes. So quick. That’s what I like. I have necrosis in my hip. So some days is okay and some days is bad. I didn’t want to have to walk far. The best diner is directly behind it! Sahara cafe. Walls are thin. The one set of neighbors kept my kids awake. I slept through it. That’s just the chance you take though staying places. Pool was perfect for my little one to jump in. We don’t need a huge pool. Not many people go in it anyways. People were really friendly. It’s a nice to place to go. If you’re bougie then go find somewhere else. I need budgets. And it was perfect for that.

Room was dirty. Had to wear shoes in room or feet were black from dirty floor. Lamps weren't plugged in, had to get extension cord from desk. The hotel manager tried to charge $50 more until i showed the gentleman at the front desk the receipt from Expedia.

This is the perfect place if you’re just looking for somewhere to pass out drunk, which that’s all we needed. But if you’re looking for a place to actually spend time this isn’t it. The toilets are like child toilets if you’re older and have a hard time getting up and down these toilets are going to be an issue for you as they’re like 2 feet toilets. The shower had hair globs on the floor. Sand all in the floor in the room which coming the beach that’s expected. Been to better. But this isn’t a family vacation motel.

Filthy rooms, sheets were not clean, bathrrom was literally falling down, hole under window in the shower went straight outside to alley.
There was only 1 socket and the 2 lights were plugged into it.
The window a/c in the wall was not completely closed, went straight out to the street.
They didnt have staff most of the time, the sign would say open but door locked ,lights on...no one home.
no handtowels, didnt have enough wash clothes even after we asked.
The bed was horrible.
It had a bed, table w 2 chairs, microwave, tv, ac and mini fridge.
Nothing else!

The location is close to the boardwalk and an easy 1.5 mile walk to the music festival at the pier. Staff was friendly. There was a small pool but we didn't use it, it didn't seem like it was set up with chairs even though there was water. Fridge, no microwave. Tiny shower but workable. The property is old and run down but clean. Parking was plentiful. The only thing that got on our nerves was only 2 towels (we made due, we didn't ask for more. Maybe they would have provided? ) and since you're near the beach, the floor of the room is dirty and sticks to your feet. Bring house shoes/flip Flips. I'm not saying it was dirty when we first checked in but it gets dirty in 30 seconds no matter what you do.
Overall, happy with the stay. Would stay here again.

Myself and my fiancé were very shocked at how they checked you in. First off, we called cabana hotel before booking, as we do for all hotels to see if rooms were available and if we could check in earlier than 3 pm and she said yes if they’re available. When we got to the hotel, the receptionist there was nice and checked with management to see about us checking in earlier but they said no check in is at 3pm. We come back at 3:30 pm and no one greets us, there are 4 other people waiting to be checked in because someone wanted to be moved into another room. Okay, I understand being short staffed but at least greet the people coming in and check them in if the people in front of you are wanting adjustments. That’s customer service. We waited 50 minutes and then got checked in and the cleaning lady was still mopping our floors. We were fortunate that the location was great and room was clean but the service was terrible.

Man at desk was really nice and friendly. But I have no idea what I paid, it was so messed up at the desk because I had 3 rooms and some was paid on hotels.com but that amount was wrong and then i was refunded wrong amount and at the end of the day I have to figure this all out. Outside my window at 7am I had 15 people building a balloon arch! 1 am people had a double stereo playing and even when told to turn it down they did not...management should of told them turn it off and take inside room, my daughter was scared to even walk past the 8 people outside room at midnight. Queen room is tiny, could of been cleaner but was ok. Need more towels in rooms and access to get more if needed, we had to use our beach towels. Location was great and so was parking.

Quiet, quaint, safe motel. Guy working the front desk was very polite and got us situated quickly. AC unit in the room worked so well & no sudden water temp changes when showering, which is what I experienced when I stayed beachside. Best for a simplistic getaway

When checking in the front desk person was standing outside talking and watched me walk in and did not come in for a few minutes. Get to my room and there were no bathroom towels, no toilet paper, and no toilet paper holder. The bed did not have a fitted sheet over the mattress it was just a sheet. 2 lights in the room could not be plugged in as no outlet access.

Our room was the absolute most disgusting room I’ve ever seen, hands down! Stains on the sheets, chunks of something wet all over the floors, light switches broken, dirt and dust piled up in every corner, someone’s used soap in the shower, the bathroom mirror fell off the wall and was leaned up behind the sink, the only source of AC was a window unit that smelled like mold, mold growing on the bathroom door, and on the bathroom window sill. Absolutely sickening!!
