Coratel Inn and Suites By Jasper Eagan St Paul Airport & Mall of America

We had several delayed flights, which put our check-in past 10 pm. I sent a message to the hotel, and received a message back saying our reservation was secure. When we arrive at 3 am, exhausted and travelweary with little kids in tow, the lobby was a very warm temperature. I'd say it was at least 80°. The man who checked me in said breakfast was at 9:30. I should have clarified, because breakfast was from 7 to 9 am. After trudging up the stairs, we discovered our room was scorching, like the rest of the building. Our kid thermometer said it was over 90°. We turned the A/C unit on immediately and stripped down. I opened the fridge freezer mini combo and found it needed to be defrosted at least a year ago. The fridge part was too warm. We had to put milk and children's prescription medications on ice to keep them cold. Thank heavens the ice machine worked. We then lay on hard beds, with flat pillows, without blankets because it was like a sauna. The kids and I fell asleep. My husband couldn't sleep due to the heat. He sat in the wobbly desk chair near the A/C, because the unit would turn off every so often. We overslept our alarm, then rushed to check out by 11 am. It was still hot in the room at 10:20 am when we woke up. A woman knocked on the door at 11:10, telling us we needed to check out. We forgot an item and when I called to see if they found it, and she said yes, but they wouldn't send it. The room was clean-ish, the bedding was okay. The floors were dirty. D+ stay.

Didnt like that the side door entrance remained unlocked 24 hours.

Management is horrible and the breakfast has no options, very limited.

The room is nice and big, but the room isn't very modern. The tub is very diry. The hot tub is great. It's very noisy and the doors don't seem very sound proof. I had forgot my toothbrush and there wasn't an option to get a travel brush.

Nice place

Giving a review for this hotel isnt a very straight forward task. It is a hotel that i didnt choose to stay at, but was fortunate emough to find when i really needed a room for the night. I was taking a filght to Idaho to visit some friends. The flight from Newark, New Jersey was late so we missed the connectong flight at in Minesota. My wife, two 15 year olds, and i were stranded at St paul Airport 10:30 at night. After calling half a dozen hotels to find that they were all booked up, i went on Expideia and saw online that there was a va

The staff was friendly and helpful

A good cheap place for somewhere to sleep that isn’t the center of your stay. In the mornings the shower was pretty cold, but bathroom was clean and overall happy with our stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was not what was reserved ( no pullout sofa bed, so they brought in a rollout bed). Bathroom was clean but the shower took hours to drain. Basic accommodations, priced right.

This booking was just for an overnight trip for an early flight out in the morning. We got to our room and it smelled like smoke and cigarette stains on the wall. We asked for no smoking room, but we were just too tired and went to bed since we had to get up early. Very disappointed in this reservation.

It was not that safe to live there. Also the people around was very loud. Not worth it at all to stay there

Very easygoing place. Great staff and a quiet atmosphere with simple and clean room. If you’re looking for a place to sleep for the night, I highly recommend this place. Also budget friendly if you’re trying to save while having a loaded schedule.

We had to change rooms 4 times. The first room smelled like someone just finished their cigarette, even though it was a non-smoking room. The second and third tries has dirty bathrooms (someone's contact lense on the floor, hair on the floor, and hair in the tub). The fourth room was at least clean. The fridge didn't work and there wasn't a coffee pot in the room. The common areas had dirty carpets. We didn't try the continental breakfast. The side door was accessible to anyone walking off the street.

It was filthy dirtt, stains and chinks of drywall all over the stairs and hallway, no amenities at all in the lobby, tv only got one channel, b3ds were clean , no conditioner, fridge fell forward because its in a pan and not secured, standing water in the fridge, men sitting against the walls in the hallwa charging their phones and talking..making it unsafe for my granddaughters to walk from our room to their moms , towels were gray old and there were stains on the clean bathmat

Don’t trust expedia. Their ratings are fake. I should’ve trust my instinct. Ratings No good. Bad iron and ironing board. bad bad bad bad. No Good. Don’t go there and don’t trust exPedia. Thank you. No no espanol
