Crowne Plaza Houston River Oaks, an IHG Hotel

It was great. Not far from mid town at all

Bathroom is dirty and old. Showers of both rooms had problem with hot water. Pool is dirty and small.

Really tight, it was convenient to the event but inconvenient to access

The tub handle was broke. Took maintenance hours to come fix it. No hot water....only one working elevator ans we was on the 17th floor. No compensation or anything.

Check-in is so crowded. Behaivior at Check-out is not good.

Hotel was very outdated and overpriced. Honestly expected better from a crowne plaza. There was also what seemed a water leak which made the whole floor smell like mildew the entirety of our stay. AC did not work at full potential as well.

Thank you for the great hospitality and making my daughter and I safe at this property.

They over charged my card and wont answer the phone to straighten it out so I've had to contact bank, etc BIG TIME WASTER.

I was very frustrated becsue tere were no fees indicated for parking at this propoerty and I was ccharged 25 per night -- I ould have stay one exit further at Doubletree without parking!@ ONKIY one in four elevtors worked and it was on it's last leg

great room and service, but only one elevator worked!! very frustrating since there were many floors so the waits were extremely long especially around checkout time

Well, first time to check in Crown Plaza was very happy because it’s pretty close to go to Rice University College. We’re very comfortable to stay, the receptionist was very kind, friendly and awesome. The room was clean and nice. I Love to recommend hundred percent. The price also is very reasonable. Thank you Crown Plaza Hotel.

The room was nice and so were the staff. The hotel has a few run down items but nothing too bad.

Old, dirty and Ola - the front desk manager, hung up on me when i asked to speak to a manager as they wouldnt refund me for early check out

It was serviceable. It feels like it used to be a much higher-class hotel and has fallen on hard times. In general, the people were great to interact with, but the actual response was not good. Specific issues: - We went to the front desk and requested an extra pillow and blankets about 8:00 p.m., and were told no problem, they’ll send it up. Nobody ever came up. We went down again just after midnight and the staff had changed. The new people were abrupt and not very friendly and said sorry, housekeeping is gone and they had no pillows. I asked if they’d had them hours ago when we’d first asked, and got “You were misinformed.” No “sorry” or anything. - About 8:30, the toilet clogged and we went to the front desk to ask for a plunger or someone, and they said they’ll send someone. We waited for over an hour and went back down to ask again about the toilet, and someone finally came up. - The breakfast buffet was far lower quality than many free breakfasts; DEFINITELY not worth $19 per person. The description said they had waffles (no); an omelet bar (no); a variety of fresh fruit (some sad melon slices and an apple). Nothing else you couldn’t get at a gas station. Again, the *people* were fine, but they didn’t have much to work with. - The mini-fridge was missing a foot so it tips forward each time you open it. - Over half the channels on the TV were unavailable. - It seemed like only half the elevators were working the whole time. - Little things in disrepair.
