Going through renovations so can’t wait to see how beautiful it will be after the construction. Good luck! No walking distance food places. So hoping there’s another dining option in the hotel, even if a short order cafe or something.

Checking in and out was easy, the reception staff was very helpful and friendly. I was having issues with my thermostat, where it was resetting every couple of hours and the set temperature was 99° (in August). I reset it the first time, we went to bed, but woke up to the room being 15° warmer than it was when we went to sleep. The second night I called for maintenance, they sent security. He stated that they “choose not to pay anyone to be there overnight,” if he can’t fix the issue “the guests just need to deal with it,” and that (as he continued to express his displeasure) stated he was “not even supposed to talk about it” because they “threaten him” if they find out. He was rude, HIGHLY unprofessional, and made it to be a very uncomfortable situation. If I hadn’t already booked a future stay here at a non refundable price, I would have absolutely canceled any upcoming stays and not return here due to this uncomfortable encounter.

I’ve stayed at this property many times and usually love it for the location and easy parking. This trip, though, I was disappointed with my room. It looked recently updated, but some things weren’t done right. The shower doors weren’t installed properly, so water leaked all over the floor. There was no soap dish in the bathroom, no wastebasket in the room, and even some paint on the headboard. On top of that, I was woken up around 7 a.m. by construction noise from renovations, which made it hard to sleep in. Overall, the stay was okay, but the room felt unfinished and the noise was a big drawback compared to my past visits.

Updated rooms and very convenient to the George Washington bridge to NYC. Was a quick drive to the west side / Columbia campus. Staff is limited with no assistance with baggage or concierge provided. However, plenty of parking (Even forgot to provide us with the doubletree cookies) Hotel going thru renovation in common areas. Had one minor maintenance issue (warm room) but engineer was quick and fixed issue immediately.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating from check in to any questions or requests, including the breakfast staff. The property is still under construction and there were some sounds from it. The location of the property was convenient to Columbia by Uber as that was our primary reason for being in the area. We did learn that by taking the hotel shuttle to Fort Lee there were restaurants and buses to get to Edgewater or even into Manhatten.

Convenient location to Manhattan. Free parking. Good service. Only black spots: a/c wasn’t working in the room and housekeeping did not clean our room. They did not give us an explanation.

STAFF WAS VERY CURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. EVERYTHING SMELLED REALLY NICE AND THE ROOMS ARE VERY NICE, BEDS ARE COMFY AFTER A LONG TRIP!

I was visiting New York for the first time with my mom so we could visit my sister on her birthday. We wanted a room where we could enjoy our stay without problems! The first night we were very tired-we had driven six plus hours-. We got to the room around 11 PM and AC did not work—it was 78F. We talked to the front desk. Maintenance came and hit a button on the AC and told us it would work. An hour later the temperature in the room was 77. I tried calling the office to explain things but the room’s phone did not work, so I had to go back to the front desk. She gave us a new room. Room 2 felt like the AC was working, but during the night, I kept waking up sweating. In the morning, we realized the AC didn’t work, it was 80 in the room. Also, when we first entered the room, the toilet seat had not been cleaned and was visibly dirty. We had to demand a new room and had to wait about 2 hours to get a new room. Room 3 seemed to have good air and the room seemed cleaner. However, the manual door lock latch was broken so we had to wait for it to be repaired. We were ready to leave when we realized the door did not lock (the keycard wasn’t needed to open the door, it just opened right up). We had to go down again to tell them our newest problem. By now it was half way thru the day. We had to wait again for maintenance who came and then left and came back 30 minutes later and did fix the problem. The experience was awful. We have spent nights in cheap rooms with better accommodation
