Econo Lodge Decatur South

The night shif clerk wasnt rude but not very friendly. We reserved a room qith Hotels.com for double bed and smoking. (It gave us that option and one of the reasons we chose this establishment). We only got a single bed and no smoking.

It was so bad on the outside I did not even check in. I went elsewfhere

Got there a day late but the manager added the late day on the end of our stay for us. He was awesome.

Just needed a place to stay for the night. This hotel is closest and convenient for me.

Blood on mirror and wall, non smoking room but yet reeked of smoke. Dead roaches, cigarette burns in blankets. We left and lost money. Couldn’t sleep here.

Need to add a blow dryer to the room & a place to set suitcases. AC unit needed updated. Room felt sticky.

The gentleman working when I booked called me to see if I had any special needs. He worked great with me to satisfy. I could of had a nicer room upstairs, but I am handicapped and can't climb stairs. He got me a room downstairs which was rough looking, but I told him it's fine. We only needed a place to lay down.

The gentleman who runs the front desk from 1-9 was the best part of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable for the most part. There wasn’t really a lot of options for “breakfast” at this location but I mean it’s an Econo lodge. For the price, you get what you pay for. But the nice gentleman who works there really made a difference in our stay.

Bed bug

The guy who worked the front desk was really kind and polite. Anything we needed it was handled quickly and efficiently. There was no issues from any of the staff or the room itself.

Me and my friend booked a room to stay here for rock the south, we checked in late thursday night/friday morning after the concert. we originally booked to stay until saturday but after the weather turned out to be super rainy we decided to check out friday morning and just go home after friday nights concert. i went down to the lobby after packing up that morning and let them know i was checking out, they informed me i couldnt get my second night refunded even though i literally only spent 9 hours total in this room. so i spent 300$ for one night in a at best 2 star hotel, the room we stayed in was so hot when we got in there in took hours to cool down, the bathroom wasnt all that clean either.

Sheets on the bed had blood stains on them and even tho they came and clean room they didn’t even change sheets. Will not stay at this place again.

The staff was very accommodating. They helped us out when some in our party arrived early. VERY pleasant at the front desk! The hotel is somewhat dated. Really could use a renovation. Old doors and worn fixtures look dirty, but it was clean. There was an old, stagnant smell in the room. Oddly, the clock in the room is set to run 30 minutes fast. Housekeeping was coming through the door at 9:30 when check out is at 10:00. I wondered if that was intentional. We felt safe and the price was right for us at the time.

Did not clean room bring clean towels take away dirty towels did not empty garbage did not make bed there was no excuse I will never stay there again I will report this Alabama authorities

Walls were thin . You could hear others talking and doors slamming into the night. We saw a roach on the ceiling as we were leaving the room.

The room was clean, but very much in need of care. There were cracks in the wall, vanity mirror was shattered, toilet tank top was cracked through, and the water would not shut off in the tub. Son went down to the ice machine to get ice and there was a homeless person camped out in there. The front desk called the police to remove them but by then we were done.
