Holiday Inn Express & Suites HAZARD by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly and helpful receptionist at the front desk. Quick check-in. Room had strange smell and was in need of some care (peeling/missing wallpaper, grout in floor of bathroom) but was clean and bed was very comfortable. Nice amenities. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

It was a rough 5 day stay. My room had some staining on the couch that concerned me, mold on the lamp shade and the shower pressure was 50% because the bath nozzle wouldn't close. I told maintenance about that one and he looked at me and said, "It works, doesn't it?" Hard to argue with that logic. One day they took out the trash and took away dirty towels, but that's it. I asked why and they said they got distracted. I had a zoom call that afternoon so I had to clean it myself. When the Hampton Inn is an upgrade, you probably aren't trying too hard. Loved the region, though :)

Dirty. Old and in poor condition. Room was very musty smelling and damp. When we moved to another hotel our clothes were damp from the extremely high humidity in the room. walls and the people walking in the room above us sounded live a herd of elephants. The staff were nice.

That was by far the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I checked in and 30 minutes later I checked out and had to drive three hours back to my mom‘s house to drop her off and then I went back to the airport and checked into a Hilton.

Pretty rough check in. Arrived at the property around 6 pm and my room wasn’t ready (check in was at 3). Waited 20 minutes for it to be cleaned only for it to still not be ready. Then was moved to a new room which wasn’t the type of room I booked originally. Called the front desk and proceeded to wait 30 minutes for sheets for the pull out couch only to have to go downstairs to ask in person. Not what I wanted to deal with after traveling 6 hours with two young kids.

The breakfast offered was lacking. Nothing was refilled when empty. There wasnt even any hot water.

I checked in at 9 pm after a long day of traveling. The receptionist did not greet me. She didn't say much to me at all. She asked my name and had me sign something and handed me the key. She did not offer any information on amenities such as when breakfast was, or what the hours for the pool or fitness center were. We stayed on the 4th floor and it stunk of smoke, and our room had a weird smell to it. My husband described it as wet carpet. The bathroom had a spot behind the door that was missing the yellow wall paper and was just a blank white. Also we stayed in a room with a kitchenette, and where you would expect to see the fridge there was just a hole. The fridge was present in the room, but not where it should have been. Last thing I'll say concerning the room was when we left, I looked under the bed to make sure we weren't leaving anything behind, and noticed an ear plug under the bed. Neither my husband nor I brought ear plugs with us, so who knows how long that has been there. And also makes me wonder how clean the room really was. The last thing I will share is that on Saturday, my husband went downstairs for breakfast around 8:40 and most everything was already empty and the pancake machine said it was broken. On Sunday he went down about the same time and everything was better stocked and the pancake machine was working, but Saturday was a disappointment for sure. I wish I took pictures of everything, but unfortunately I didn't think of that til we left.

Bathroom issues: Big stain in tub. No hooks in bathroom. Fan and outlets in bathroom didn’t work. Toilet intermittently didn’t flush.

Bianca was awesome. However we had 5 adults and only got 2 queen beds. We were told that we would get our money back but have not yet. We had to make other arrangements to fit everyone. Was very disappointed.

Needs some updates, but overall nice place to stay. Friendly staff.

Just a few photos this hotel is in need of a major upgrade. Dirty and in horrible condition.

It was outdated. We had 2 rooms and neither of the key card locks on the doors would work. It would take several minutes to get in to both our rooms. There were several stains on the sheets, the bath tub was dirty, had fruit loops on the floor from the previous guests, and the room next to us had trash sitting in bags in the hall the whole time we were there. The breakfast was very disappointing. We were there on a Saturday morning and there was very limited food. The staff was very nice and helpful, but were trying to work with what they had which isnt great. For the price, it was very disappointing.

Excellent hotel

Hotel is understaffed. Booked to capacity and only 1 housekeeper so rooms were not ready at 830 pm. Thankfully ours was but multiple other people waiting. Room was not clean. Only 1 towel is the bathroom. Very dated and very dirty. TV did not work. Any time other rooms close by ran water it was extremely loud in our room.Coffee was terrible. The little bit of staff that i did see was run ragged trying to do multiple peoples jobs. Desk clerk got off at 1130pm and had to be back the next morning at 730. All in all a very poorly run hotel. Fealt terrible for the staff

We were double charged for our room. Price online was not the same we got charged. We were over charged. Hope to hear back from someone about this matter.

Great place to stay.

I reserved a room with a king size bed. Got checked in with no problems. Went to my room and it had 2 queen size beds. I went back to let the receptionist know. She stated that she didn’t know if she had any king’s left. However, after checking, she gave me another key card to the type of room that I paid for. Not sure why I didn’t get that room to begin with.
