Motel 6 Lompoc, CA

Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean.

The staff gave us a room which was already occupied. The room has zero amenities (no shampoo, no refrigerator, no hairdryer). The hotel offered two bars of soap one for the sink and one for the bathtub. I would not return back to this location and the room felt very sketchy! The pictures on here made it look decent.

Had to change rooms twice because room was not clean for my pre booked reservation. The man that checked me in was super nice and accommodating.

Where do I even begin to start. Looks and photos definitely can be deceiving. The establishment was dirty looking. We booked a 3 night stay. After 2 days we left and stayed at another hotel. (Day 1) We were given a room. When we enter there was a horrible smell in it. It was full of flies and gnats inside of the window. There wasn’t even a window screen inside of the window. I immediately went back to the office. They exchanged my room for another one. When we entered this room it was a little better. (But…..) The sheets were stained with dog paw prints on them. So tired I went to down to laundry room to exchange sheets for new ones. The apologize and gave me new ones. Then we went to the rest room and flushed the toilet and to our surprise it was clogged. I went back down to the office and they gave me a plunger from the $ store to plunge it. We had no choice since we really had to use the bathroom. It did absolutely nothing to help fix the problem. And maintenance and house keeping were already gone for the day so we had to tough it out. So we were able to pee and that’s all. (Day 2) I told maintenance in the morning and he said he would fix it. We left for the day and returned later and went 2 check and it wasn’t fixed. So went to dinner upset to Wingstop across the street. Luckily they give you thick brown paper bags. In the middle of the night I had to go #2. We couldn’t use the toilet because it was still clogged. So had to use the Wingstop bag. Checked out the next day

I enjoy my stays at the motel 6 but noticing a lot of things that need to be addressed inn rooms

I was able to sleep in a bed and take a shower and stay warm.

Close to restaurant.

Put it this way I cleaned my room my self.

Neighbor noise all nite and morning.

Unfortunately there was not Hot Water and people partying outside my door- also the shower had a really bad scratches in the tub.

Everyone is really nice and really helpful.

Area was okay. Open shower was a good idea, but the shower head was too close to the wall- so to get my head under the water, I had to lean against the wall.

This property gave off an unsettling vibe. It seemed to have several long-term residents, as evidenced by potted plants in windows and children’s bikes scattered outside some rooms. I was surprised by the number of rundown vehicles in the parking lot—some were packed full of items, almost like makeshift storage units, with bikes even chained to the tops of minivans. I expected basic accommodations for the price, but the reality did not match the most recent reviews. The front desk staff was polite, but I felt uneasy when I was told there was an issue with my reservation. Although I was informed I had been “upgraded” due to a website error, the room did not feel like an upgrade at all. The property was littered with cigarette butts, and the room had a strong smell of smoke. We nearly chose to skip our stay and continue our drive home, but I was too exhausted. We ended up leaving early in the morning and were met with another unsettling sight—a woman appearing disheveled, rummaging through a car with her pants halfway down. I’m not a high-maintenance traveler, but I do value honesty, and I feel the reviews misrepresented this place significantly. I would not stay here again.

Overall below average room.

Seems like a lot of unhoused individuals are sheltered at this location, they were up at all hours of the night both nights I stayed. There was no substantial air conditioning in both rooms I experienced, the busted AC control panels looked like they were from the 60's with the yellowed plastic knobs. First room I was placed in had a broken vent, broken towel rack and the sink faucet was extremely loose. Second room I was placed in reeked of cigarette smoke and had stains on the mattress and the pillows. Both showers had fluctuating water temperature- in a matter of a second the water would turn ice cold for about five seconds before going back to warm temp and it happened repeatedly each time I showered. The manager was never on site and the front desk employees couldn't do much for me besides move me to a different room. Homeless people roaming around the parking lot at all hours of the day and night with their shopping carts, doing drugs. It was the worst hotel experience I've had in my life and I'm not exaggerating, either.
