It was good overall, with live music at night, a bar inside the hotel, super close to Times Square, and good restaurants. everything was clean in the room, and very good service from the Dominican receptionist (I don't remember her name), I only know that she was magnificent.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s a beautiful art deco building and the lobby is amazing. It’s a cool place to stay. However, since my last stay in 2001, the bedrooms are on the shabby side. They need improving. Still a great place to stay and if the bedrooms were as good as the lobby, it would be perfect

Unfortunately no running water for a shower or to even flush the toilet. They did try to fix it but with very minimal updates and a lack of clarity we were forced to check out and find another place.

The water stopped working an hour after we checked in. We couldn't shower, wash our faces, or even flush the toilet. They didn't seem overly concerned about this. The front desk just kept giving vague and inaccurate promises about when it would be fixed. Luckily we were only there for one night but it still wasn't working when we left. They said they were unable to give us a discount because we'd booked through hotels.com.

Got in early in the morning from a delayed flight. Called ahead to ensure that our room would still be ready for us to check in. When we got to the property, our room had been given away. We were put in a room with 4 bunk beds for the night then asked to check out in the morning and leave our luggage with the hotel and come back in the afternoon and check back in. The staff handled the problem well, but i was super disappointed in the fact that we called them three times to let them know we were still coming just later due to unforeseen circumstances from our delayed flight.

For the location the price isn’t bad at all. However; there were zero hand towls. I’m not sure if not having any in hotels is a NY thing but I had already brought some from home. I booked the double bunk beds and I’m about 95% sure those beds have to be air mattresses of some sort. They dipped like you would expect an air mattress to do if you put your weight on one side. They weren’t uncomfortable to sleep on (for me and my kids)

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this is a must. The hotel room was the smallest room I’ve ever seen. Sink was leaking I called front desk about it and maintenance came and he said he didn’t see where it’s leaking and yet every time I turn on the water to brush my teeth or wash my hands the floor was full of water. For 3 nights that we stayed there we had to used the bathtub to brush our teeth and wash hands. The first night we saw the biggest roach ever existed in the bathroom with all that being said you can decide on rather you want to book or not.

We had a nice vacation in NYC and stayed at the Paramount as a family of four. The room was quite small. Clean, with good sheets. Bathroom was small with an industrial toilet and tub with chipped and peeling enamel. Shampoo and body wash was provided. I don't like it at all, I could barely enter the room because it was small, I spent 2 days without water, you couldn't go to the bathroom or take a shower either. The service was very bad, the only good and friendly thing was the girls who clean the rooms.

Positives: it’s close to everything in the theater district and restaurant row.
Negatives: two of the four elevators broke. There was no running water for 12 hours. 1 towel for a shower. No hand towels. One outlet that was inconvenient when it came to charging.
It was a low price room in NYC but I would not recommend.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Times Square area, this will suit you well. Nothing fancy about it, but for someone who just needs a place to sleep, this is a clean and safe place. The reason for 4 stars is that there was only one outlet in the room. If 2 adults are staying there, one will have to charge their phone in the bathroom.
