Pear Tree Inn St. Louis Near Union Station

The employees were polite and professional. However, the Happy Hour reception was was meager, the microwave in our room didn’t work, the HVAC system in our room was extremely loud, and we had to replace our room keys on two separate occasions.

Staff were friendly, helpful. Happy to have parking on site, sheriff on duty in lobby at night, and security over night. Can tell it has been updated, bathroom area small but fine for 2. Seemed pretty clean. Would stay here again for concert at Stifel. Very close to union station.

It was dated and parking was terrible. Front desk wasn't terribly friendly, but it was after midnight, poor guy.

Had a great weekend stay. The breakfast was great with many varieties to choose from. Close to so many things!! Great service!!

Staff was friendly and great, however I'd rate this a 3 star hotel. If you are planning to stay out all day and only come to sleep (as we did) this would be a good affordable option, as it's nearby all downtown attractions. Pros: Free parking. Breakfast included waffles, cereal, buscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, a variety of bread, and a juice fountain. They had free popcorn from 4-8pm and a snack and wine bar from 5-7:30pm. They also had a soda fountain and coffee available all day. Cons: The hotel lighting is very dim, not like the pictures in the listing. The light in our room was broken so we were only able to use the night stand lamps and bathroom light. The hallway and room had an old carpet smell, I'd recommend you bring a freshener. Our bathroom was smaller than your norm with barely any sink counter space and the shower ceiling was peeling off. Our shower curtain was dirty and there were only 2 of each towel in the room, however I was able to get more at the front desk as we are a family of 4. The pool is open from 9-10 however it was extremely cloudy, not at all what a pool should look like, so I only allowed the kids to go in on the first day.

Second time we have stayed here. Great property for visiting St Louis. Breakfast is very nice and all the staff have smiles and seem well trained at their jobs.

The hotel workers are very friendly. The hotel room was very clean and comfort bed. Hotel area is very safe and walkable at night very safe.

The lady who checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful! I did not catch her name but she made us feel welcome and at home! The popcorn, snacks a breakfast were all tasty and appreciated!

Older hotel but great view and comfortable

Still decent experience but not as good as my previous stay here just a month ago. Tried to check-in at 8PM and was told my room was not ready! Had to wait 15 min before they cleaned it. Hope that's just a one-time issue. Other than that the room is clean and the area is convenient

Our stay was comfortable and clean. We were not able to stay for drinks and hors d'oeuvres due to a prior commitment, but breakfast the following morning was hot, clean and plentiful.

The only complaint I have is that the check in process was a little slow. There were 3 workers walking around behind the counter gossiping instead of helping the line out the door of customers waiting to check in.

It's not fancy, but that's okay. It's right in the heart of Downtown West, just a gew feet from City Park, Schlafly, and Union Station. Staff are super friendly. The accommodations and amenities are modest, but you have everything you need. It seems a little pricey, but a bit of that might be the location.

The room smelt like moldy water not sure may just need better ventilation, thought ac leaked on to carpet but great views, the lady at counter was more worried about making popcorn than checking us in. So after 25 minutes in line we were finally good to go to room. But free drinks nachos and popcorn was great, will be back soon
