Stonybrook Motel & Lodge

Stonybrook is a classic roadside motel. I'm not sure how long it's been around, but it's in decent shape. Sure, it could use some paint and a refresh on furnishings, but I found it clean and comfortable enough in a quiet and attractive setting. The only disappointment was the breakfast, which was pretty lame. The coffee was terrible. Still, I'd return.

Le motel n’est pas neuf, mais c’est propre, abordable, climatisé, il y a une piscine et un bon ptit dej continental! Le dude de l’accueil était sympathique! J’y retournerais sans hésiter!

The property is poorly kept. Paont is peeling off everything. Flooring is coming up at the lodge. The paint in the room ia peeling, the floor was dirty, we found two dirty towels, the mattress xocer was dirty, the shower was dirty. There is no actual breakfast. There is BLACK MOLD in the lodge in the ceiling. I actually felt gross staying there. I have stayed at a lot of hotels, motels and lodges. I took lots of pictures.

It was friendly. Other guests were nice. Bed and pillows were great. Ac was great too. Breakfast was minimal ( no decaf coffee). Some things were old and should be updated. Wifi and Tv did not work in the 2rooms we had. No cold water in one.

We are still waiting on a refund status for this stay. When we arrived, the signage at the front desk started no pets, though online it said that dogs were allowed. The additional pet charge was also not posted, once it was determined that pets were in fact allowed. When given our room number, we were greeted by the guest next door who was chain smoking outside the door. We brushed off the smell and went to the room only to find that the wifi did not work and the tv service was out. The fruit flies in the room we're an additional unwelcome surprise. We tried to go to the pool for a swim, and found the pool area down to rough concrete, the pool extremely dirty, and a pile of toenails at the deep end ladder. Gross. We left for the day and activities, thinking that they tv and internet problems would be fixed by the time we returned. Wrong! The Internet was still malfunctioning and we were told to simply use an unsecure open connection instead of having the problem fixed. Spoiler alert- the Internet did not work at any point during our stay. The tv also went out again with no resolve on that. After a total of two hours physically being on the property, or was clear that it was not clean or safe. We let front desk know we would be leaving immediately and not returning until the health and cleanliness standards were improved. So much for a weekend away, we drive the two hours back home. Overall, the stay was extremely disappointing and gross.

I would never tell anyone to stay here , cause we didnt even stay. We ended up leaving and driving away not sure if we would find anywhere else to stay. It was terrible dirty, scary, especially for 2 women by themselves.

Cute little stay. Very friendly staff. Rooms are dated but clean and very much served the purpose of sleeping and showering after intense hiking. Did not get to experience the breakfast because we were out on the trails before service. Rooms had mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Will certainly stay again because of location to popular hikes in Franconia!

Le motel est jolie de l’extérieur mais l’intérieur aurait besoin d’être modernisé ( rénové ) ! C’est le plus abordable dans les environs .

Clean and conveniently located. Great coffee and dinner options nearby. The free breakfast had hardly any food and some of the food was very old (fruit).

Was clean and quiet. Breakfast was minimal, Does need some upgrading, Did not swimming pool was not in great condition would say.

Rocks, nice location

There was no milk during breakfast for days.

Generally run down and unclean. Bathroom floor was sticky and dirty with mold and rot by shower.

Not what we expected from description. Did not stay the night.

Needs a complete update. Breakfast is a joke. Door windows are painted over. Towels and sheets are cheap and thread bare. I wasn’t expecting much due to the price but it was worse than I expected. Workers were nice people but the place is sub par.

The nightly rate is exceptional for that area. Nothing comes close. Right off highway. Close to hikes. Basic breakfast but free and plenty. Internet connection not great.

Was a drive by visit . Was late entering. Room was clean. Room: toliet handle was broken so for three guest you had to be sure handle caught or constant draining occurred. Was three in room and not enough bath essentials:wash cloths. Continental breakfast: started at 7am. We were there at 7am: Drink: coffee or milk. Coffee drinker in group was stating it was terrible and threw it out….quite unlikely for her to do! Other two : non coffee or milk drinkers-and juice machine broken. Otherwise white bread or one flavor bagel—not a plain one. Felt choices for breakfast could have been better if charging includes a breakfast I wouldn’t eat!
