The Strathallan Rochester Hotel and Spa - DoubleTree by Hilton

We were visiting our son who lives near by. Its very conveniently located with many restaurants within walking distance. The staff was great.

Old and tired to describe the carpeting, elevators, etc. is an understatement. Had to travel 9 hours the day I checked out without a shower because there was no water. It wasn’t a municipal issue. That should never happen. With the amount I paid for my room, I’d think there could be a more robust maintenance program.

The property was great. But Expedia dropped the ball. They did not share the change in the date for my arrival.

I stayed for six days and felt that the room was dated in the kitchen needed to be updated

Great place to stay!

Although major updates are needed, such as new carpet, balcony doors, and the pull-out sofa, some of the staff were very kind. Which made for a desirable stay.

The room is absolutely disgusting! There are stains all over the walls, ceiling and furniture. The couch is disgusting, there’s stains on the couch. The computer chair in the room looks like you picked it out of the trash and placed it in our room, it’s full of stains and it’s ripped. The wallpaper in the bedroom is peeling off the wall, there’s dirty finger prints on the ceiling. All the furniture is full of stains. I chose this venue for a special occasion and we came here after our wedding for our first stay as husband and wife. My wife walked in her dress, i still had my tux on… your staff was not welcoming and didn’t even say congratulations! To them We were just a regular guest checking in… i am highly disappointed in your staff, and the lack of quality control for the rooms. Your hotel took our special night from us, the most special night of our life that we will never get back! I paid almost $300 to stay in a run down furniture room full of stains on the walls and ceiling. I will be sure To never book a hotel room at the Strathallen Hotel again and share my negative experience with my family and friends to prevent them from disappointment, very disappointing for your brand.

I recently stayed at the Strathallan Hotel and had a great experience overall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was with a buffet offering and the added flexibility of ordering from a menu.

3rd time here and doesn’t disappoint.

Nice property in a great area.

Housekeeping did a great job every day of our stay. Dinner crew was great, as was front desk. Will stay here again if the opportunity comes around.

The Strathallen Rochester is a nice hotel BUT it is looking a little "tired". I noticed several items of deferred maintenance.

Great place to stay. Location is great - right in the city. Walking distance to bars, coffee shops, and other venues. Rooftop bar was nice and had great drinks.

Convenient location. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping staff were friendly and willing to provide services (additional towels) when requested. Restaurant was very good. All staff members were friendly and helpful!
