Cottages by the Sea

The property is perfect for a relaxing vacation right next to the water. But the best part was the staff Sande, the manager, is the most welcoming, kind, affectionate, warm and inviting person we have ever met. Because of her I will always stay at this property when I come back to STX. I will be telling everyone I know to stay here.

The beach was super clise

Nice place to get away to. Enjoyed our stay there. Clean place with beautiful water and views. When you dont feel like cooking, you have a Restaurant right next door that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We really enjoyed our stay. Right on a beautiful beach. We hope to return in the future!

This property is amazing. You can snorkel right off the property, room was clean, house keeping was super friendly and gave us fresh towels when needed. I can’t say enough about this property! Also they have the sweetest cat that lives there. Will be booking again.

I had an amazing stay. Literally steps from the calmest beach I’ve ever been to. The room was exceptionally clean, just a little outdated— but I did book their last room available so it makes sense. I was told that the property is so popular you need to book the room at least 11 months in advance. Overall I would most definitely recommend this stay if you’re going for a chill, romantic, or family oriented stay. 10/10.

Cottages by the Sea was a cozy spot with a perfect beach area, friendly staff and a layed back atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back.

Our family of three had an amazing stay at Cottages by the Sea.! We stayed in the Carol's Rest cottage and cannot recommend it enough.! Perfect cottage for our family.! Right when we got there, the staff welcomed us with big smiles and made us feel super comfortable. Every person we met was so nice and went out of their way to make our trip an amazing experience. We really want to thank the staff for being so kind. They made our vacation extra special.! Carol’s Rest Cottage was like a dream.! It was cozy, really clean, and decorated with a cool island vibe. It had plenty of room for our family and all the stuff we needed, but still felt warm and cozy. The cottage has a lovely back story and it was nice to be a guardian of the cottage for the week. Plenty of cooking equipment and gear to cook and serve for at least 4 people. HOT water and COLD a/c.!! The whole resort is like paradise, kept super neat with pretty gardens and awesome ocean views that wowed us every day. We always felt safe and relaxed, which let us enjoy the island to the fullest. The beach was the most amazing part of the property and there are not words to describe the beauty of the beach and sunsets in front of the property. We will be back.!

Cottages by the Sea offers it all... AMAZING location with just a few steps to one of the island's most beautiful beaches, over the top customer service & staff (before, during and after our stay), gorgeous grounds, adorable cottages with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Hot water works all too well, be careful when getting in the shower lol!

Serene! Lovely little rustic cottages on the beach. Not all cottages are ocean view, but the entire property is on the beach. And the beach is beautiful!

Great location. It's the best beach on the island. Easily saw turtles and stingrays and lots of fish. Love jumping into the water right after waking up~

I liked very much that the property is directly on a clean, quiet and beautiful beach. The property was quiet and clean and well-maintained. Cleaning the room should be improved. The shower had hair on its floor from the previous client. There is a serious ant infestation in the kitchen. The kitchen dinining room seats were ripped off and taped - unacceptable!

I have been coming to The Cottages for 10 years, and it feels like a warm hug every time I visit. What could be better than waking up and walking out your cottage door, and the ocean is in front of you!! You are surrounded by lush greenery, and turtles lay their eggs on the beach so that you might see tiny turtle footprints leading to the ocean. The nights are spectacular for seeing the stars, and I have taken beautiful shots of the constellations. Honesty, no words do this place justice; see for yourself the magic at The Cottages by the Sea
