Friendly staff, and clean

Everything was good,

The place was very clean and the room was nice. The hallways and doors need new paint.

It was obvious that this was once the premium hotel in Bangor - the place for conference meeting, weddings, or other big fabulous event, and still wants to be "that place." However, it looks tired & worn. NEVERTHELESS, it still holds great potential, if/when they are able to do a freshening up with paint, floor covering, and general upgrades. The room was large and comfortable - bed, lighting, TV, refrigerator, etc. ~ It's a little noisy because of the busy street passing by, but I was pleasantly surprised to sleep undisturbed by it (so the traffic probably lessened through the night; and didn't pick up again too early). ~ We ate dinner at the Blue Sky Lounge (hotel restaurant). The food was good. The menu plentiful. The prices reasonable. The ambiance was not my taste, but not distasteful either. When we were there the atmosphere was more of a bar than restaurant, somewhat loud for eating our dinner after a long day, but not obnoxious. ~ We didn't use the pool, but peeked in; and it looked good. The courtyard out the back needed landscaping attention!! STAIRS... NO ELEVATOR. We aren't young but fit enough to handle the stairs to the 2nd floor, but not everyone would want to carry their luggage up them. We didn't need to use the hotel to airport transportation service, but saw that it was available. ~ Overall, I would stay there again, and recommend it to anyone who asked me.

The room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was so comfortable and had plenty of pillows.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The room was clean with comfortable double beds. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and the service, food and price were excellent.

Restaurant and bar is excellent

It was okay. The room had a really weird smell and the pull out bed was very uncomfortable.

Pictures did not reflect the true state of hotel. Very dated with a bar attached and another beside the hotel it appears. Patrons outside our room window to the early morning hours yelling and smoking. Hard to get any rest for an early morning departure. Very disappointing stay for our family in general where we typically have good luck with Bangor area hotels.

Love staying here any time we are in Bangor.

The staff were excellent with our airport transfer as our flights were changed 3x in 8 hours

Could use a good cleaning around perimeter of rooms. Flat wheel on luggage rack but comfortable and good food in restaurant

Very nice restaurant at this hotel.

There is nothing grand about this hotel. The doors to the rooms are all beat up. They need to be painted badly. The rooms are very outdated and the beds and pillows need to be replaced.

Pictures of the hotel were 20 years old. Phones don’t work to call front desk. Internet was poor. Clean bedding. Nothing ‘grande’ about hotel. Price didn’t match the hotel,
