The staff was great and having a good amount of breakfast was amazing

our room key the receptionist gave us for our room on the 5th floor did not work so we had to go all the way back and ask for a new one and she moved us to another room on the opposite side of the building. on the second day, our key didnt work again and we had to go back and ask for a replacement again. additionally, we only booked this hotel for the hot tub which was listed as an amenity on this website. we went down to the pool in the freezing cold and the hot tub was completely cold. there was a sign that said heating works but no bubbles so we tried turning on the dial and waited 15 minutes and it didnt work. so again we had to go to the reception desk and ask and they said the hot tub was broken. this was not disclosed before booking nor was there any signage indicating that at the pool. our sink also broke (not our fault) so someone had to come in and fix it. due to these issues, i’m requesting a partial refund.

No notice that the hot tub was not operational. We would have went to an alternate hotel if we knew the hot tub was not working.

My family and I stayed here last minute, and the service was excellent. The staff was helpful, welcoming, and made everything easy for us. We truly appreciated their kindness during a stressful time. Highly recommend

This was the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. It is very old, with almost every element being worn out, dirty and tattered. The common area near food had a hard to find bathroom that was so dirty I had to wipe off the sensor in the sink to get the water to turn on. The room number was not marked on hallway sign, hard to find. NO INTERIOR HALLWAYS. Exterior (outside) entrance to room feels very exposed and unsafe. Room Lights hard to find to turn on, and bulbs burned out. The room not having an interior hall made the room noisy from highway noise. The safety bar in tub was so loose I could have fallen if I needed to grab the bar. Woman checking me in was curt and almost rude when I asked her how to get luggage cart and access elevator. She seemed annoyed that I didn't know the layout of hotel, which was odd. Rooms in separate building from front desk and common area. I didn't see luggage carts near front of building since they were on side near other building. She was sooo unhelpful. turns out this hotel was more expensive than nicer hotels in Monterey town. I would NOT recommend this facility and I'll never stay here again.

the room is clean

The ice machine on the second floor needs to be cleaned. It is unappetizing to use in its current condition. The carpet in the room needs to be cleaned. The shower floor should be reconditioned. There was an end table in the room that had to be replaced because the moldings on the edge was falling off.

The room was older then most holiday inn express

The juice wasn't quite worth the squeeze.Best part of the experience was the Breakfast. The TV is hard to figure out and outdated. Great location though!
