I like the hotel because it’s close to where I need to be, although I have to pay $40 for Valet. I feel like the AC or maybe the thermostat isn’t functioning correctly, it’s either too hot or too cold! I can’t seem to get a balance. I’ve been in 2 different room at different times and the AC or thermostat isn’t functioning right.

It was so pleasant

The staff, especially Jacoby, was amazing. The valet crew was efficient and kind. We came to Houston for a delicate medical matter and the time we spent at the hotel made it feel like home. Will definitely stay again.

Every staff member was friendly and helpful, answering any and all our questions. We had a pleasant room that was quiet.

The property was great. The parking situation could be better. We didn’t know we could not self park a truck so then you have to pay to valet and they will park your truck just about anywhere there is space. If you choose to park yourself, you still have to pay a valet fee.

Friendly staff

Escalator was out from the parking garage and we had to lug our bags up the stopped escalator. We were still charged $30 a day which was steep. However, the staff at the hotel was incredibly nice. It is just an older hotel but a remodel is planned.

Worst hotel experience ever

Overall this property was okay. The escalators from the garage were broken. You have to pay to park which is 30/ night. There is a Starbucks in the inside so I could get coffee every morning. The free cookies were good. My room was okay. The lighting in the bathroom was dim. The shower was average. I liked the fact that if you are going to Lakewood Church you can get there through the parking garage. Overall it was just an okay experience.

If you’re going to Lakewood Church, it’s really convenient because it’s walkable, but it is extremely difficult to find and to get into and to find where to get into it. It’s difficult to find where to park and you have to park way underground, a bit like a dungeon. Instead of it being included with the room, they added onto the price of the room so you pay about $33 a day for the very inconvenient, pretty frustrating parking. Also, they took a $75 security deposit from me on my debit card in addition but did not give it back when I checked out. He told me I would have to wait. Now it’s 24 hours later and it’s still not on my debit card and there is no way to talk to a person at the hotel, which is probably the most frustrating part and probably the reason for me to give them a one star review. When you try and call the hotel, you talk to a robot computer who cannot help you at all and when they ask for your itinerary number and you start to say what it is they cut you off so now I’m trying to figure out how to get my $75 security deposit back.
