We stayed at the Sheraton Mar del Plata, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for a hotel of this category. The rooms are outdated and clearly in need of renovation. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable, and there was no way to make the air conditioning work—only the heating was functioning, which was frustrating given the weather. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow, which made it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, there weren’t enough power outlets in the room, which was very inconvenient for a family traveling with multiple devices. We sat at the hotel bar for quite some time and were never attended to. On top of that, they attempted to charge us the 21% VAT even though I clearly proved my status as a foreign tourist not residing in Argentina and paid with a credit card issued abroad, which should have exempted us from that charge according to current law. Despite showing the required documentation, no solution was offered. Overall, a disappointing experience—especially from a hotel that carries the Sheraton name.

Excelente hotel

The hotel was great! The spa and spa services were excellent. The linens were really top of the line. The staff was very professional and helpful, they made everything easy for us.

Service is good, room is very cozy and comfortable including the bathroom. It's up to standards with what you'd expect from the brand and the category. Location is nice, while not a beachfront hotel, it's located in a great area and not far from the nicest beach in town. My only minor caveat would be that it's a bit too complicated billing wise with multiple card authorizations happening for different things, if you like one clean charge that covers everything you're probably not going to be able to have that.

Mariano and the staff made every effort to make sure that we had a great experience. We had an amazing experience!

A five star hotel w a beautiful view. Loved breakfast. Loved the spa.

Sheraton.. mala franquicia... Abusan de la marca, y ubicación frente al golf y el mar. Habitaciones IGUALES QUE HACE 20 AÑOS ... Baños.. SIN RENOVAR ... Cañerias hacen MUCHO ruido (me queje dos veces). Desayuno .. muy básico, no a la altura ni 4 estrellas. Personal se esfuerza, pero tambien a veces muy joven, sin adecuada experiencia. Gimansio buena vista, maquinas 7 puntos (algo han renovado). Pileta externa, antigua , hay pileta nado. Pileta interna, sauna, no me arriesgue para no desilucionarme, pero realmente no fui. Segunda vez que voy en tres meses, pido piso alto cuando reservo .. me dan pisos bajos y me quiern cobrar porque dicen que tome reserva por Expedia o booking. En Rotterdam, Miami u otros Marriot aun yendo por app viajes, buscan y me dan piso alto, en MDQ no.. prefieren especular que acepte pagar un alto sobreprecio (de usd 270 a 340.. solo por subir 5 pisos..). Ya he pedido en mi empresa no me reserven nuevamente, salvo que no haya opción, prefiero Costa Galana sin dudar.

Overall it was a good experience

From the moment i walked into the room i went to use the bathroom and it flooded. I called guest services to see if they would change our room before we settled in and they refused. They stated i had to call expedia. Which i did with no resolution the whole stay..

Modern building design. Rooms are the standard US Hotel chain. Nothing special. The Gym is very good. Streaming devices like Firestick cannot access the WiFi.

Rooms are dated, food and drinks onsite are not good, tried to charge me for a late checkout, wouldn't give me more nespresso capsules, weak AC in rooms.. For the price I paid I expected a lot more. Will not be returning to this property.
