This is a beautiful facility. Could be a little cleaner in public areas

i reserved a room with 2 beds, i check in and they didnt even tell me my room wasnt available, they just gave me a key and sent me up to a room with 1 bed. i went back down and they told me my room had been taken and there was nothing they could do. after about 10 min they finally gave me the room i reserved. Staff was rude and kept telling me there was nothing they could do. however they finally did it after about 20 min of me saying i get my room or i want my money back. they then continued to blame expedia for how they work as a third party. either way hotel was dirty. i will not be back to this location ever. i paid 300$ for a 1 night stay and had to fight to get what i paid for. then after all of that they charged me 100 dollar incidental. i left room clean, all they had to do was make the beds. i most likely wont use expedia again assuming their communication with the hotel was not on point and allowing the hotel to double book a room. I would like at least my 100$ charge back but i am very dissatisfied and would like a bigger refund. the hotel was pretty empty and they kept making it sound like every room they had was full

Awesome stay

Very nice hotel to stay in, the pool is a plus for the warmer months. Perfect area for walking to shop and restaurants in the lovely area on the Country Club Plaza.

No recycling?! The restaurant was 3 stars. The bellman John was 5 stars. The people checking in need to care more. Rooms so-so. It was just “ok”. Pool area was beautiful.

Clean, tidy, and wonderful view of the plaza. Our room came with a balcony which is rare to see these days, especially when the room isn't a suite. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the lobby restaurant was great. Only complaint is the elevators, which were having some problems when we stayed causing two of three to go down, leaving only one operational. It wasn't a big deal for us, but it was an inconvenience for some people we met.

great place and nice beds. Clean rooms. The driveway to the front is TERRIBLE there is a giant hole/rut and for any high end car is a huge issue.

Very disappointing for a hotel of this category We stayed at the Intercontinental in Kansas for 6 days and, unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected, especially regarding service and room cleanliness. Throughout our entire stay, housekeeping only cleaned our room once, and that was after we requested it politely. When we asked again more firmly, they finally sent someone, but only under the condition that we leave the room before 11 a.m. and notify the front desk. Even when we followed those instructions, we would return at night to find the room still dirty, with no clean towels to shower and food trays piling up. This happened several days in a row, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. Honestly, this is the kind of issue you cam deal staying at a house or a 2-star motel not from a supposed luxury hotel. It was a frustrating experience that we definitely do not recommend and will not repeat. If basic housekeeping cannot be guaranteed, it’s clear there’s a serious problem with management or customer service.

We arrived on time for our check in. Our room wasn’t ready. Usually wouldn’t care if we had to wait for a bit. But we had reservations for dinner at 6p. We had to wait for over an hour in the lobby. We weren’t notified if our room was ready even tho they said we will call you when ready. We approached the front desk multiple of times to just to be safe if ready. After an hour. We checked in again and it was ready. No apologies from the front desk or a courtesy of some type of comp for our troubles. I understand this type of situation can occur. But better communication would have been nice and some type of comp for us waiting in the lobby for more than an hour. Over all. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, the view from the balcony was nice, breakfast was good in the lobby. A buffet. Yes. We will come back another time. We have stayed here multiple times throughout the years. This is my first review with the hotel.

The restaurant and bar staff were incredibly friendly. Property was not very clean though and the walls are incredibly thin.

The property was beautiful and the staff are pleasant. The staff provided excellent customer service and they even texted me to see if everything was up to my standards. I will definitely book a room there again and I highly recommend them to everyone.

Great stay!

The hotel itself was beautiful, and the location was great, but they did not have a fitted sheet on the bed so when I laid down in bed, I noticed I was lying in a urine stain from a previous guest. In my mind, this is very unsanitary and it left me feeling very gross.

I don’t mind for small things like scratches or small specks of dirt on the wall. So I didn’t rate it as badly as other people. The lady who checked us in was kind of impatient but other than that the stay was fine. It was definitely beautiful and the walk to all the stores and restaurants was the best part. It was so convenient. The water pressure on the shower was amazing and we always got two bottles of water after they cleaned the room.

Unfortunately we encountered rude front desk staff. Valet, housekeeping and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was a nice old hotel.
