Beautiful place & excellent service

Nice rooms, old though, since my first stay in 98.. needs face lift. Nice vacation there as usual ..

The staff was really nice and friendly, the grounds are gorgeous and the views of the lagoon and Red Sea are breathtaking. My only complaint and the reason why I’m giving it a 4 star over all is because the beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows are the worst pillows one can possibly get. I was there for a wedding and the rooms (my room) was a good distance from the lobby, but I like to walk so it was not a big deal at all. Except, for the day of the wedding. I called to get picked up by the golf carts as the walkways are too uneven to walk on in 5inch stilettos and the wind was really strong. It took them 40 minutes to pick me up and that was after calling the lobby 3 times. I eventually had someone in the wedding party tell them that I’ve been waiting and they need to come get me. Good thing the wedding party was running a bit late, otherwise I would have been left behind. The breakfast buffet is good, dinner not so much. There are a lot better options in the downtown area.

The staff is very helpful. Very nice beach and a lot of space to sit and relax. The food was good and nice variety. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, the resort itself is getting a bit outdated. I had issues with my room key lock couple of times. I also had to call maintenance to fix the safe box in the room twice.

Air conditioning is not working, Food is bad. I checked in 6 hours earlier and they charged me full day rate 220€. When on internet it costed 190€. I will never go there again

Die Teppiche im Zimmer wurden noch nie gereinigt und waren sehr dreckig und eklig. Die Zimmer und Teile der Anlage sind sehr alt. Das Essen war super, abwechslungsreich und hat gut geschmeckt. Die Menschen an der Rezeption waren eine Katastrophe, wir hatten mehrfach Probleme, weil sie einen Fahrer nicht bei der Security angekündigt hatten und er nicht durch das Tor kam. Insgesamt waren alle nur freundlich, weil sie Trinkgeld erwartet haben. So richtig glücklich waren wir dort nicht, waren nur wegen dem kitespot da, aber auch die Menschen von dem kitespot waren unfreundlich und komisch.

I flew from USA to spend a vacation time with my wife and my 15 months old daughter at Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna and when I came to the hotel, the standard of the room provided doesn't meet any 5-star hotel expectations at all. The room is very poorly furnished. The furniture is very old and rotten. It's not clean. It doesn't have any soap or kits at the restroom vanity. The vanity is only single sink with poor broken wooden base. The AC is not properly working as it freezes you up with its massive cold air no matter how low or high you adjust it. It just blows high flow of air even when you put it in a low with a rattling sound all night. The sheets are not clean, the carpet is horrible and dirty with stains which is not appropriate to let my baby crawl on. The heater is not working. the quality of the room doesn't meet any inhabitable hotel standard. I had to call Expedia and cancel the stay on the spot to move to another hotel the next morning. I would not even spend the night in such a place but everywhere else was fully booked so i had to sacrifice this night till sunrise to move out. Not recommended at all.

Personeel heel aardig en behulpzaam. Kamers zeer ruim en luxe. Eten op resort redelijk goed. Drinken en service prima.

Great views, hotel was beautiful and relaxing

Stayed for 3 nights, full sea view. Dated rooms, average service, great beach view, close to downtown. Toilet leaked during my whole stay even after I called them 3 times and someone “came and fixed it”. Staff is doing the bare minimum and I believe they need improvement on several fronts. I don’t recommend staying there unless you have to. I was negatively surprised.

Overall, great service by all personnel. The welcoming in the reception, cleaning the room, personnel by the pool and in the restaurant. Thanks for a relaxing and very enjoyable visit.

Overall nice hotel but would need some renovation, we had bad waterpressure from our shower and the keycards for rooms dont work properly we had to go to reception to ”charge” them up couple times. Staff is really nice, our cleaner Omar was real professional and really kind guy, he deserves a raise definetly.
