The hotel is situated in a central location (downtown of San Francisco) with easy access to the public transit system.
The hotel looks very clean, the rooms are tidy and the interior doesn't look old at all.
The personnel in the reception is charming and very helpful when we asked for directions and quick solvers when we had an issue with the smoke detector in the middle of the night.
Being a central area has is drawbacks as not having the feeling of being in a safe area, but that's also true for all the hotels in the area.
The roomnwe stayed (facing the exterior) was extremely noisy, we could hear the noise from the subway as well as the noisy coming from other heavy vehicles every night (I didn't check because itnwas very late at night, but it sounded something like garbage collection trucks)
