Lovely staff in the reception, very helpful. Great location of the hotel, right on the main street. We had a view facing the main street, which was very nice. Newly updated bathrooms, very fresh!

LOCATION Zanhotel Tre Vecchi is about a 10-min walk from the Univ. of Bologna. TRAVEL It is an 8-min walk from Bologna Centrale ~ Bologna’s main train stn (allow yourself about 10 mins if you have luggage, or prefer to walk slowly). ROOM & BATHROOM The room was tastefully decorated, though small. The hotel follows a green policy, providing premium toiletries in refillable dispensers, minimising single-use plastic containers. DINING OPTIONS The hotel opens out on to Via dell’Indipendenza ~ one of the main arteries in Bologna’s historic quarter, and a parade of restaurants, shops, cafés, and heritage architecture ~ leading from Bologna Centrale to Piazza Maggiore. STAFF The staff are warm, friendly, helpful. I wanted to make the pilgrimage on foot to the hilltop basilica of the Santuario della Madonna di San Luca, situated c. 3.5km from the city centre. Seeing my determination to do this on foot, and not take public transport, the receptionist kindly worked out the best/safest route for me on a map. The walk there and back was effortless. I had an early-morning train to Padova the next day, but was reassured breakfast in the restaurant would be ready before my departure. BREAKFAST PLENTY of excellent fresh fruit, yoghurts, juices, a selection of cold meats/cured meats and cheese, a selection of hot food items, and the most scrumptious cakes. SAFETY Being on the Via dell’Indipendenza, the Zanhotel Tre Vecchi is in a busy area of Bologna that feels safe.

Staff was not very welcomming.. did not say hi when arriving/leaving. Felt more like we disturbed.. but to italian people they were very friendly , smiling and chatting...

Alles perfekt. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Man kann sowohl das historische Zentrum als auch den Bahnhof in ein paar Minuten zu Fuss erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr nett.

For the price, we were pleasantly surprised with this hotel! Very classy, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast! Luggage storage was a huge benefit!

Bästa läget i Bologna. Hotellet väldigt slitet. Fläckiga gamla heltäckningsmattor både i korridorer och i vårt rum. Badrum OK likaså frukost. Träffade annat par som bott där för 10 år sedan och att inget hade förändrats. Men som sagt läget är perfekt.

Vreselijk verouderde kamer hadden wij. Het hotel is totaal niet 4 sterren waardig. Behang wat half eraf was, vieze stoffige airco, zeer verouderde badkamer, kapotte tegels, lamp die flikkerde, viezige vloerbedekking. Ze waren het wel aan het renoveren (weet niet of alle kamers gerenoveerd gaan worden) en daardoor lag er ook plastic zeil in de gang en de trap naar eerste verdieping zat onder stucwerk. Het onbijt was prima, niet heel bijzonder. Ze liggen we perfect in centrum van Bologna en alles is op loopafstand te doen. Personeel was norsig en bij uitcheck zeiden we dat we de kamer niet echt geweldig vonden en verouderd was. Werd totaal niet op gereageerd en toeristenbelasting viel ook hoger uit dan Expedia aangaf, €10 meer. Kortom hotel is niet 4 sterren waardig eerder 2, de prijs te duur en volgende keer nooi meer!

Bon hotel mais sans plus, qui semble avoir perdu de sa superbe. Décoration surannée et usée, personnel pas très accueillant. Petit déjeuner complet mais pas fou. Pas de stationnement sur place, mais dans parking voisin (payant).

Konumu çok iyiydi, her yere yürüyebildik. Kahvaltı güzel ve kaliteliydi, seçenek fazlaydı, görevliler yardım severdi.

Quarto espaçoso, cama grande e muito confortável. A decoração é datada e de gosto duvidoso, mas acaba por não ser o mais importante. Hotel muito bem localizado, a uma distância confortável do centro a pé. O staff principalmente do pequeno almoço (que é suficientemente variado), é muito simpático e disponível

Hotel sulla via principale di Bologna a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione e dal centro. Vicino a negozi e altri servizi. Camere moderne e pulite e personale gentile. Colazione ottima e abbondante
