Terrible!

Needed remodeling. The black out curtains had lots of holes in them. The sliding glass door had to be jerked to open and needed replacement as it seemed ready to fall off. The sink plug had to be pulled out so it would drain. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was close to the state beach.

Clean , quiet, staff was very helpful

We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years. Sadly we have really seen it decline over the year. Seems quite neglected. So many things. Dirty fridge in our room, spider on the wall. Sliding door to (Balcony with no screen and a folding chair) and a dirty slider. All mirrors in room were streaked and not shiny. Towels were not white. Something red smeared on the door to our room. hope it was not blood. Large spill on the carpet getting off the elevator, and floor of elevator was not cleaned the 4 day stay we were there. Back to our room. The carpet was not clean, and we were afraid to not wear our shoes in room . The light over the double sink #1 was burnt out, they did fix the second day. All in all sadly this was our last stay at Confort in San Clemente Calif. I think you may be able to get it back to good standings if you have the right cleaning crew and management. But not for us at $180. a night. good Luck

There was no hot water to take a shower at certain times and we were told by the reception desk that the water heater was on a timer. We had to take cold showers.

This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever encountered! The staff was rude, they gave me a hard time about furnishing pillows for the pull out couch, the sliding glass door did not work properly, you had to pick the door up and move it! The phone didn’t even have a plug to plug into the wall. They never answered the phone at the front desk, the floors were horribly dirty. The continental breakfast was disgusting, we found mold on the muffins, and the yogurt was out of date. The place was a dump! I wish there were HONEST reviews on Expedia, so I could have avoided this disaster

I did not stay. I asked to cancel the reservation as soon as I got there. The hotel is right on the highway, no noise barrier wall. It was so loud that I couldnt hear the people at the front desk. They tried to offer me a room on the opposite side of the building but you cannot eliminate highway noise at all. I booked a room to get away from noise to relax from my stressed out noisey life, i needed a break and some peace and quiet. I did not stay there because of that reason. They use a cleaning product that I am not fond of that makes me nauseous, that was unpleasant. When using your website I specifically clicked free breakfast and ocean view, since this was going to be a personal retreat for me I wanted to NOT have to leave the building to have these things. There was absolutely no ability to see the ocean. But this particular hotel came up on 3 separate websites as a hotel that has a view of the ocean, false advertising.

Pool and hot tub were nice. The room had a stale odor to it , toiler plugged constantly and flush handle was brocken. Not worth the price.

we were in 4 rooms; the room we had had a 'mildew/moldy smell but they won't give us another room because we had already entered the room (even though we didn't touch anything in the room except i sat on the sofa because i started to feel weak - had no choice but to leave the doors and windows open all night. the 2nd room we reserved smelled badly of lysol - and even after we aired it out, the lysol smell stayed until the next day. dangerous to health / very unacceptable.

Room was clean, staff was nice, place was pretty quiet as well. Will stay again

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great for my luttle family. I would definitely stay here again.

Dirty and gross but if it’s all that’s available you don’t have a choice

Room was spacious and clean. Balcony door wouldn't close all the way, water pressure was poor and not very hot.

We go to San Clemente at least once a year for a mini vacation and we having been staying at this motel for several years as we feel we receive a good value for our money.

It’s a nice hotel, clean rooms and clean pool, nice breakfast in the morning and really close to Camp Pendleton where my son in law is in training

We stayed in the jacuzzi suite. It was nice spacious, the bed was a king size & very comfortable. We had family come to the hotel & enjoy the pool & spa with us & the staff was very cool & let us stay in the pool area after hours as long as we were quiet. I would def stay there again.

Amazing staff and services

Rooms were extremely dated and walls were so thin i was awakened by neighbors having a good time at 4 in the morning. Breakfast was underwhelming. The only good thing was the waffle. Parking is behind the building with no back entrance. Not a great walk for a single woman at night. Definitely not worth the $150 a night that was charged. Definitely won’t be staying again.
