The staff were fine. But the hotel/rooms are dated, the TV didn't work, the pools didn't look tended to, and my bedroom window faced a storage area. These are things I wouldn't normally complain about, but there so many nicer hotels that I could have stayed at for the price I was having to pay.

Not everyone owns a credit card for various reasons esp with climbing cost for basic necesities people will be in debt due to credit cards. Single mims like me dont rely on credit cards either

The door frame on my room was damaged, appeared as though the door had been kicked in at one point. Splintered open where the door knob latches. The metal piece on the frame was hanging on with one screw. The "Premium Room" was very basic, bed was lumpy, bathroom looked alright. Overall it looked clean after I removed the long hair off the bathroom sink. Staff were nice and polite to me..

The room was alright, one of the pillow cases had a stain. The vending machines had barely any product. Figured for $200 we would get a bit more. Rooms are a little run down.

4 am we were woken by several party goers in the hall and getting into their room. Called to the front desk and they were aware already of the ruckus. No mention of a discount or complimentary breakfast nothing. A few you g people ruin it for everyone. Should be banned.

Upon arrival, the bald gentleman at the front counter could have been more receiving. I appreciate that all rooms may not be ready at exactly 15:00 but when I walked up to the counter, he barks, "Housekeeping isn't ready. Sit down over there and you'll be called up one at a time." I felt like I was being chastised. My Deaf son asked me why he was angry. He could sense the attitude just from the look on his face without hearing a word spoken. The room was somewhat dusty. I wrote my name in the dust on the nightstand. When we were in the first room 225, I was shocked when I opened up the blinds and all I could see was different material strewn around in what looked like a breezeway of some sort. May I suggest that the front counter staff welcome guests first and foremost to the Viscount Gort. My son was grateful that the woman at the front counter had some signability. That was a pleasant surprise. The headboards were dust-free so maybe the cleaner may have been hasty in cleaning. The bathroom was spotless. Perhaps the rooms with windows that peer into a storage area could be painted over with a mural. It really is an unpleasant sight. In the hospitality industry success depends heavily on "soft skills" like empathy. Checking a guest in is not a favour. It's a service. Thank you to the woman who retrieved my things from the first room (225) that we were in.

Room was clean and staff was great. First we had no information in our room for restaurant hours, how to order room service. Also we went from one floor to the next looking for pop dispenser, as well as snack.

Hallway wreaked of Marijuana and stale beer. Room floor was dirty, neighbours partying all night. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Room very dirty. Staff at the front desk were rude. Parking was a nightmare. Not enough parking for guests never mind when there is a function happening as well. Will never stay there again.

Room floor was very dirty, hallways smell like smoke and are extremely “used and stained”. Flooring is new everything else screams please fix me.

The room was dirty. The floor wasn’t swept/vacuumed or mopped. There was dust in the bathroom. The towels were crusty. Also the hot tub wasn’t in use the whole time. They told me they had to adjust the chemicals and it would be ready later on. I called atleast 5 or more hours later to the front desk to see if it was good to go in. They said yes. I got all ready with my boyfriend to go enjoy the hot tub for our early Valentine’s Day weekend and the water was ice cold. It was out of service the rest of our stay. I didn’t even shower while I was there because everything just felt dirty. And I didn’t want to dry my body off with what looked and felt like dirty towels. We did enjoy our short visit at the bar downstairs which we always love to check out. The service wasn’t the best and the tables were all dirty and empty glasses and shot glasses at the till but we do enjoy having a spot to go play pool and have a drink in the hotel. I have been to this hotel multiple times and there’s a reason we keep coming back, the location is close to amenities and the bar downstairs is a nice feature plus the pool and hot tub are usually both very warm and enjoyable. I’m not sure if we will be back to this hotel again or if we will decide to change going forward.

Clean room. Very helpful and friendly staff. My room facing the pool was very quiet after the pool closed. I love the makeup remover cloths in the bathroom. I super needed it!

I was given a room next to the pool and the noise was terrible. The hotel did stick to the pool hours of operation, however the noise for screaming kids was awful.

Great hotel in the downtown area. Rooms are clean. Lounge has super staffing and food was excellent. Thank you for a great stay once again!
