Central ish location but in a quieter area of City, sadly a stench of Canibas around. Tap is too low with high plug stopper making it almost impossible to use. Room needs deep clean as stale cigarette smoke lingers. ONe of lamps nearly dropped off wall. Wifi is terrible. Bed is comfy and big, air con works well but would have been nice to have windows that open for fresh air perhaps the smokers at pub below is why they don't.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk from there anywhere we wanted to go.

Really enjoyed staying at the Lace Market Hotel. Beautiful building, great location, great room and close enough with a five minute walk to restaurants. We will visit again.

Initially disabled access route not obvious, but staff clarified and then found better step free access room (rooms 3 or 4). The old listed building has many levels with small flights between them. Not sure it would be easy to get to breakfast.

Very nice located in the city center. There is potential to step up a little bit about cleaning the room. Spider web beneath the table. Great bed - slept like a log!

One night stay , room on arrival was very hot. Mentioned on way out and reception staff obliged by providing aircon and fan. Upon return later room very cool. Very central location with friendly staff, breakfast great with plenty of choice

Gorgeous hotel. The place had a really welcoming atmosphere. Staff were wonderful. Including helping me out with the aircon when I couldn't work out how to use it.

Only thing was the internet - it wasnt very good and not great when working from the room.

I loved this hotel, it's location, the staff, the room, everything. I will without a doubt stay here again.

Room was nice, staff were ok, but it was horrendously noisy. The room was on the ground floor next to the cobbled street & the hotel entrance so every vehicle that passed was heard & every person who passed was heard. I could also hear everyone in the lobby. I was pretty stunned to see that there were only wooden, single glazed windows & there was no hot water in the morning & for which the receptionist did not apologise. I know it's impossible to get a corporation to apologise for getting something wrong these days, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I wouldn't even have mentioned it had I received an apology. As far as I'm concerned 'sorry about that' should have been the first words out of the receptionist's mouth.

Very convenient location. Walkable to everything I needed. Bit quirky in design as old. Room had everything you needed. Breakfast set up worked well.

The hotel is pleasant, not outstanding, with very helpful, friendly staff, in a great location. We got a deal but it's still on the high side price wise.

Room was not completely clean and still had red confetti on the floor, room was really warm and although it had Air-con, it was old and did not work well.

Everything good, staff excellent - we had a problem with the air con in our room which was not dealt with or any redress given as it was a hot night and affected our sleep/comfort. Could have done with being tidier/cleaner in the public areas.

The hotel just needs some TLC. Had to wait ages at reception to be checked in and although the decor is trying, it’s just outdated and mid-matched. So frustrating as it could be an absolutely lovely hotel.

From the booking right through to checkout the service both on email/telephone and in person was fantastic. Thankyou
