Room was not very good as in creaky floor very small tv and a very noisy fridge

We have used this hotel for many years when visiting family in the area. Could be our last stay however having been kept awake past midnight by other guests slamming doors and being generaly inconsiderate.

Great stay, rooms where clean and staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely book again.

The inside of the hotel didn't match the setting. The room we had did not reflect the price we paid and was very average and we would not book here again. On a more positive note, the food was good.

Staff were amazing

Only given one star cos you can’t give none, no hot water or heating, diabolical

First two rooms were not clean, the third Wes clean. Long wait for dinner. Parking was good. Staff tried to help when we told them the first and second rooms were no good.

Staff very good but room and corridors showing wear.Room had a few issues which would be easy to spot and deal with had the room service been more diligent. ( safe dead , smelly cupboard which had the second set of towels in, mixer tap for shower very scaled but still worked ,toilet not very clean and did not have a brush ,no usb charging which is nowadays unusual).

I had a very pleasant stay in a well run hotel. It was great to find a hotel which professed to be dog friendly and really was dog friendly. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Avisford Park in the future

Very much enjoyed our short stay at Avisford. We picked it on value vs even premier inn and was pleasantly surprised at the facilities, we used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. We had a great breakfast in the morning. The hotel has a quaint feel to it, beautiful grounds and it very pet friendly. We will definitely stay again.

The first room we were given was not as nice and clean as the second one cos it was noisy and the coffee/tea supply tray is dirty/dusty seemed like not been touched for ages. The reception very kindly gave us another room which is very clean and more comfortable so had a lovely rest.

Room was not good, we have stayed in this hotel 6 times and this is the worst room that we have had. The room needs a complete overhaul. The staff on the other hand were very good and the cleaning was good but the carpet was so stained you couldn't make it look good.

This property is really quite tired - in our room the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, there were a lot of scuff marks and general wear and tear that hadn't been 'maintained'. The bed was very uncomfortable - it appeared to be a pull-out bed on wheels and even the slightest knock sent it wobbling. We had to move it because of a spider and the dust behind it made me gag. I wouldn't recommend this place as a place to stay - we were only there for 1 night thankfully. Staff were friendly and check in was good.

Really nice hotel and very helpful staff. Just an overnight stop for us so didn’t get to use all facilities. The double room was fine but the bed was a little too firm for me. Plus the TV was temperamental, the bathroom extractor sounded like it was going to explode, the bathroom door didn’t actually close - not massive problems, just small details that give a bit of a tired view of things. However, the health centre and pool were lovely. Nice restaurant- lovely pizzas and good value too. I would stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel and grounds are nice. Overall though the comfort didn’t match the expectations.

Property needs to be updated. Holes in furniture, cracks on walls, squeaky floor boards but great surroundings and customer service. Gym and breakfast were good highlights
